Finally a bounce.

Like you said, this game could easily be 6-2. Booth has had some prime scoring chances.
When Burr comes back, does he go back with the twins or has Hansen earned the spot for now?

The hockey gods giveth and the hockey gods taketh away.
Considering how this game has gone, this doesn't surprise me one bit.

Very poor coverage on the tying goal, should never have happened but one cannot complain about their record for December.

Mason was outstanding tonight and singlehandedly won the game for the Flyers.
Canucks did a lot of good things tonight but ultimately gave away a point. The tying goal should have never happened.
I feel quite good about the team right now.
Lack played a pretty decent game. The last time we had such a solid back up was... last year with Schneid. That's some incredible goaltending depth right there.
Corrado only got 7 minutes but those 7 minutes were pretty good. Not sure why Torts didn't give him more ice time.
Hamhuis had a tough game tonight. That give away that led to Giroux's breakaway goal was very much un-Hamhuis-like. He's still our best all around defender but 32 minutes is just too much.
The Hansen Sedin Sedin goal was the prettiest goal this year. I got flashbacks of 2010/11 seeing that work of art. Hansen seems to be getting smarter every game he plays with the Sedins.
Good effort over all. Should have gotten 2 points but Mason played an outstanding game.

The shootout is a mystery to me with these guys. Kesler does the same thing every time, all he changes up is how many times he shifts his skates before shooting it to the goaltenders left, usually into the pads or wide of the net.
Daniel looked confused on his attempt.
Santorelli had the right idea, and Mason read him all the way.
Honestly though, considering the start we had to the season, being 1 point back of the Kings with them only holding a single game in hand is actually not too bad at all, and on pace for 106 points.
The nice thing is that the team looks to be still coming together and getting things ironed out.
Hamhuis had a terrible game, could be that being forced to play almost 30 minutes last night after Alberts went down was just too taxing on him in the back-to-back situation.
Turn the page into a new year and see what happens in the back half of the season.

I'm not concerned at all. Was a good effort, damn this Booth has lost it, after Kassian rushing in and serving it, he must had scored anything, just like the beast, how many chances does he need?

A few comments;
The Sedins have suffered the most under Torts dump and chase game. They never have been very good at closing a wide gap and hammering defenders off the puck. they are much better at gaining the zone with possession and cycling down low. Enter the latest wrinkle. Breakout pass to the opponents blue line to the streaking linemate. If the pass works, it is a fast break to the net (Hansen's goal vs Calgary, Daniel and Henrik vs the Flyers), if the pass is bobbled or missed, the foreward is on the defender all the way to the wall making the forecheck that much more possible (Hansen's goal vs the Flyers).
Kassian and Booth are showing some magic .... making goals for disappear from the score sheet. Hands of Steve Bernier.
The worst game Higgins has played in a long time. A rank goat.
Casual Kev or was he just rattled by the puck in the eye.

Total domination by the Canucks, and it's enjoyable seeing the effort. But yet again they're beset with their achilles heel - a lack of finish. I dunno, a team can sure make a goalie look frikin great if all you do is shoot pucks at their goalie... just sayin.
Do they, would they, ever have a practice where they put up a piece of plywood as a goalie with the prime scoring spots open ??
