Bob McKenzie ‏@TSNBobMcKenzie
As per @Real_ESPNLeBrun, Valteri Filppula agrees to 5 year deal for $5M per year with TB.
$5m is a going rate for a 2nd line centre.

I’m shocked Lapierre hasn’t got his $3M per year contract yet.

Now that Ballard is gone, this is the worst contract in the drawer for the Canucks.

He better come out healthy and be on pace for at least 50-60 points this year or I'd be putting him on the block at the trade deadline for a 3rd rounder.

At his cap he should only be expected to get 40-50 points.

He wasn't the most gifted guy in the world and had to work his ass off to make the NHL. I'd think a guy like him would fit in well as the 12th/13th forward on the team.
Thanks for the info, I think these smaller deals would be beneficial to fill out the roster with hard working lunch pail/hard hat type of players, they will help others to feed off of their hard working ways, especially the rookies who will play with them in pre-season/exhibition games.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

How soon you forgot the bold signing of Sestito.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.
