Schieds for Horvat will be how this assessed. The kid looks like a slick passer.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Not sure how fast he is, but he seems like a player in the mould of Kesler/Umberger: 200-foot player with character with a bit of size and physicality.

He's a monster in the faceoff circle and is typically the first guy in the corner, digging for loose pucks. Horvat was likely the most complete player available in the draft, as his two-way game and attention to detail in the defensive zone are heads and toes above the rest of the draft class.

Don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but one Bleacher report on Horvat wasn't so flattering.
Lots of upside, but far from a sure thing.
However, he was chosen the most valuable player of the 2013 OHL playoffs. Ahead of Sean Monahan, Darnell Nurse, Max Domi, Nikita Zadorov, & Ryan Hartman.
Lots of upside, but far from a sure thing.
Less Canucks embarrassment please.

And who is exactly is James Onusko and what are his qualifications regarding undrafted hockey prospects ? He could be as stupid as the people who cover prospects at the giant shithole called hockeysfuture.

Bleacher Report has some of the worst hockey articles I have read. It's just a place to hang ads.Blob Mckenzie wrote:And who is exactly is James Onusko and what are his qualifications regarding undrafted hockey prospects ?
