Yep. Richards is a beauty. Brown is trying to be the worse Dustin.
I wonder what the chances are Boston won't go all-out to re-sign Horton after the playoffs the big dummy is having.
I'd say 0% chance. Him and Krejci have been fantastic. Can't say I'm too sad for them, he's going to cost them between $6-$7M/year.

With the cap going down and considering he's not a huge point producer, that sounds pretty steep. But yeah, he's picking a helluva time to go on a tear.

Apparently Hjalmarsson and Oduya are a lot better than I thought they were. Crawford as well. I figured the Hawks gave up fewer goals this year by having the puck all the time, but they're pretty solid back there and they skate it out in a hurry.

Watching the playoffs right now makes me jones for Canucks playoff hockey and it's only fucking June, lol.

No surprises in the final four this year. The last 4 cup winners, all of whom also happen to be NHL darling markets. I guess it's some small consolation that all the teams that made it to the third round are excellent.

Well yes and no. Also need to consider the term limits on contracts. Horton is only 28 or something. Put it this way, would you rather have Horton at $6M, or Booth at $4.25? I'd take Horton. Some are suggesting Clarkson will get 5.5+ (which I think is laughable and I hope Toronto gives him that much).

Not really any surprise darlings this year. We also should keep in mind it's a mutant season.

Rummy, at least the Canucks will be nowhere near favorites to do anything next season. That should let them play without such a massive weight on their shoulders, and hopefully do it with a better roster. With any luck we'll be in the Conference Finals before anyone even clues into the fact we had home-ice in the 2011 Cup finals and are (still) a good team.

That's too bad, however hope springs eternal!

Duncan Keith pulling a Marty McSorley on Brashear type stick slash on Jeff Carter...I wonder how many games he'll get? 10? 15?

It's Duncan Keith and the Blackhawks... probably 2.

They've been sticking their knees out when they're hitting a lot this series as well.... such a classy team compared to the evil Canucks.

He should get the rest of the series. He meant to whack him with the stick. He MEANT to break the rules. Guys that make contact with the head don't necessarily do it on purpose. He's also repeat offender.

Torres got suspended for the remainder of a series for less.

Knowing it's the NHL, I'll say he gets nothing.

You can see from the angle that Carter's head snaps that the shoulder was the principle point of contact and because Carter raises his elbow first, before putting his hand to his face he is either embellishing or attempting to take Keith's jaw off.

3 games for Carter.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

+1

The league doesn't have the balls to fuck with one of its favourites and suspend Keith.

...and the league's integrity takes another blow. How low can it go?

Yeah the league needs to make an example of Keith and careless stick work, so players will at least know gotta take care of your stick, as it was partially done on purpose, it was not pure accidental like a follow through on a slap shot or something of that nature.

It's two games, actually, Keith is a repeat offender so it's more then two. The precedence for this is already clearly established.

Shanny has never contradicted himself, so I don't even know why we're debating this. :drink:

Didn't Marty McSorely say afterwards that he was aiming for Brashear's shoulder and missed?

Keith should be treated the same. Done for the playoffs.
