I remember seeing that and thinking that a Schneider trade was still possible...
I was one of those that said trade Schneider but shut up when it seemed a done deal luongo was gone
I still thought that luongo outplayed Schneider this year too
Cory may be a great elite tender but he also may not be any better than luongo is right now either
No, I remember that too. I loved CS game but I also agree that he didn't out shine Luongo to the point where I was worried about Luongo's game. People have to remember that CS will be a FA in two years and will get his 5-6 million LTC. For CS this is the worst case, a back up to Broduer for at least one year.
Now I do admit that the year before when CS was on his game I liked him in net better. But last season I thought Luongo played lights out and was back to form, maybe playing a little harder for a trade?
Its over. Lou will report, Lou will play great, Lou will win a cup with the Canucks and it won't get any sweeter than that.
The only HW the Canucks need

Management doesn't want him here.
Luongo doesn't want to be here.
Luongo's whore of a wife doesn't want to be here.
Do that fucking math, Jack.
LOL, oh really? Interesting rule. You can't rebuild w/ Cory because he's already in his late 20s
Yup, sure looks that way.its a no-brainer.

It was that Charlie horse whatever it was in game six against Chicago when luongo had to come in cold in OT that has always made me nervous
Btw I think luongo never hot enough credit for that in '11

U play poker by revealing your hand? You're a god-damn genius!Strangelove wrote:No offense.... Todd... but you wouldn't know "common sense" if it SCREAMED AT YOU.
Common sense tells us that we don't know what the Canuck brass are actually thinking.
Ever play poker Todd?

Point was folks just can't tell what the Canuck brass are really thinking at any particular point.... Todd.Todd Bersnoozi wrote:U play poker by revealing your hand? You're a god-damn genius!Strangelove wrote:No offense.... Todd... but you wouldn't know "common sense" if it SCREAMED AT YOU.

I think today's trade proves that point.

Lou's personal reasons for wanting to be traded have not changed.
Was Aqualung there to tell Lou, "you made your beds, now you must step up and be loyal."

Well, if Lou really wants out, I won't mind if we just dump him too. He can just give MG a list of teams he's willing to go to and if he's willing to renegotiate his contract a bit to the new team (ie - like take a few years off it), I'm sure we can accomodate him.

A pretty god damned basic tenet that has been in place for two CBAs and the better part of a decade now...

Hmmm... then considering nobody wants him cuz of that contract, he'd better suck it up and come play here in training camp. I guess he can also retire or sit out, either way is fine by me.Strangelove wrote:You can't renegotiate these contracts.
