 ... yikes!

Yet another illustration of why the GTA needs another team.

Riemy had a stellar .840 tonight against a bottom feeder and 5 goals against. This isn't the only stinker he has had the past couple of weeks.
Hopefully people will start to see through the reality distortion field that is FordLand (the fans here are walking around in a daze just dreaming of the playoffs) and realize the Laughs have a long ways to go before they can be called a contender or even a dark horse upsetter.)
I thought prior to the shortened season starting that Toronto and Edmonton would be the two teams to most benefit from a shortened season. Toronto has the worst shots differential of any playoff team in history, but (like in years past) get the bounces early on, and then start to fade massively from the 35-game mark. Fortunately there wasn't enough time for them to totally drop off.

Edmonton did benefit from the short season - they had their best finish in years!! Still a ~10% chance at 1st overall too.

Minnesota would have been in that conversation too of teams to benefit from a short year, but they overhauled their roster so drastically I wouldn't include them in that category. They may very well have dropped out of the playoffs in a full season though.

Jesus Spidey, for a guy who professes to hate the leaves as much as you do, you sure like to chat about 'em. Most I've seen you post about hockey in 10 years.

How the fuck has this piece of shit reached 13 pages while threads about OUR team have naught but tumbleweeds and trolls?

Sad.

If the leaves can avoid Boston round one I like their chances round one, say Montreal. At least we will get to hear how great they are and that they are a true contender for the next few weeks.

I'd bet the leaves won't win more than 2 games this year.

Wow, those predictions are just crazy crackers. I mean, as we know, anything can happen, but saying the leaves are on par with Boston!? Truth be told, I now hate Boston so much I'd hold my nose for a Toronto round 1 win over Boston to get the satisfaction of watching the local chuckleheads take the dirt nap. But I don't see that happening if they play...and they picked a Leaf to be a contender for every trophy!

Man, Burke liked to say Toronto was a tough place to play b/c of all the media/fan attention...but it's the opposite, too much adoration. In Canucks-world, apparently there are still tickets available for Game 1...we want a Cup, end of story.

Shit is hilarious.
