I may be wrong but I'm guessing that "Topper" was born back East and is a
closet "Hab" fan. He just seems to have that attitude.
He likes the Canucks but does not bleed blue and green in his heart. Am I right "Topper" ?
Overtime wrote:I love it. We can now respond, appropriately, that "Vancouver" won the cup 50 years before any upstart
Alberta franchise. That may incur some added feelings of shock, stupidity and worthlessness to the already
downtrodden Alberians. Oh well. Shucks.

Thank you for the post and your research on it StrangeGlove! My opinion of you has altered, not 180' but
at least 90'! I am a history buff myself. How on earth could a team that far back without very good ice to
skate on and with a relatively small comparative population as opposed to Ottawa; take on a team that
had all the history and advantages that our young sport at that time seem to offer them?
I will offer my opinion. British Columbians were far more physically tougher and had way more obstacles to overcome
being new pioneers to the land and such. They were proud of their achievements and deservedly so.
Strong Men. No wimps allowed. Tough women too. When money came along; the Easterners took control.
That is their nature.
Whatever; Vancouver owned the Cup!

Oh well, at least we all know the truth now. I can smell out Hab and Leaf fans from afar.
It's not your fault. It's just the way you were raised.
