This one's for Doc. Who is the greatest italian Vancouver Canuck player of all time? In case you forget here are some names

Enrico Ciccone
Todd Bertuzzi
Frank Corrado
Mancari
Pinizotto
Duco
Bobby Manno
Tony Tanti
Caesar Maniago
Sestito
Volpatti
Tambellini
Momesso

I'm going with Tony Tanti or Bobby Manno

Unless his back keeps him out of the first couple of rounds of the playoffs (may be making an optimistic but not unrealistic presumption) I think we may see him again in Vancouver colours.

Having said that, this will be Ballard's last season here without a doubt.

Love the way Alberts is playing thse days, but I would say the same of him as well. I don't think he's happy being that 7th defenceman, and I remember a quote or two from him a month or so ago where he described being a scratch to begin the season 'as the most challenging of his professional career'. Depending on the FA market this year, he may bolt if another team promises him more playing time - even if the money's the same as what Gillis is offering.

No. Serious? Can't be. I had him pegged as our next Bobby Manno.

Corrado is certainly getting a lot of attention, Breakdown of his game;

It's waaaaaaaaaaaaay too early for this kid to be judged but we can imagine can't we?!
Imagine he is good to go for the playoffs...it would be unreal to have a young, fast rookie D to help eat minutes and allow for the vets to heal.
Definitely worth it to eat 1 year if this happens. It would give us actual depth and not looking towards Ballard & Barker to be our saviours

Connauton who? 8-)

Playoff games don't count against as an ELC year so it's even MORE of a no-brainer

Welcome to the fish bowl kid. Breaking down every single last stride like that is insane. He needs to be able to make a few fuck ups here and there and not see a 6 paragraph analysis of his every waking moment.

He had an encouraging start but the over-zealous media circus surrounding this team doesn't do a prospect like Frank any favours, even if this article is complimentary.

Schneider DTD with an undisclosed injury. Joe Cannata called up. Lou gets the start tomorrow.

Discuss...

Doubt its serious and could likely be nothing more than a phantom "maintenance" day scenario like they did with Bieksa last year.

Resting Schneider for the post season with 2 games left is a decent strategy.
