Yeah, it was locked WITH A LINK TO WHERE IT WAS POSTED IN THE "COOLER".

(where it was deemed to belong)

Bob Nicholson could be working with TL! :o
@THNKenCampbell

Am told Bob Nicholson has offers from Washington, Edmonton and Vancouver to be CEO.

Washington offering the most money.
A long time ago, a baseball player remarked: "If I owned a ballclub, I'd hire a $5,000 coach and a $15,000 scout."

It makes Edmonton top heavy, as it would make us. I don't think we need a buffer layer between Linden and the ownership. It would be a slap in the face to Trevor who was hired on as prez of the Canucks. Now I suppose if they hired a CEO of Orca Bay that's a different matter but I think if they hire someone to be Trevor's boss it's a bit much right now.

Chicago is another team that is top heavy and there are all kinds of rumours of some serious rifts there now showing themselves. Too many cooks spoil the broth and all of that.

As long as Kevin Lowe has a say in anything the Oilers will be mired in mediocrity at best.

*Ooops did I say that out loud.

This is a team we can turn around quickly.

Well now that our GM has publicly insulted the President of the Edmonton Oilers there is no hope of the Canucks cutting a deal with them to trade up into the top 3.

What a disaster.

Nicholson is going to be running the business and brand of the Oilers, similar to what he would have been doing here had he accepted the position. He is an admin guy not a hockey op guy. There wouldn't have been any slap in the face to Trevor. Victor Debonis is the guy who would have been demoted or saw his job resposibilities reduced.

Debonis is the money guy, finance. His job is safe. I guess we do need a prez of Orca Bay Entertainment so in that respect ya I get it.

Isn't it Canucks Sports and Entertainment? Orca Bay hasn't existed for quite some time...

Dan Murphy:
So #canucks will now be paying Luongo and Booth not to play in VAN, Gillis not to GM and Tortorella not to coach.

And yet Sportsnet still pays Murphy to report.

"Canucks going back to Whistler for 2014 training camp, Sept, 19-22. All sessions free and open to public."
A long time ago, a baseball player remarked: "If I owned a ballclub, I'd hire a $5,000 coach and a $15,000 scout."
