The panthers forechecked our d into the ground last night...exposed it pretty bad IMHO
Hammer is that top 4 d-man, he'll be back soon.
The team doesn't need more d-men - they need scoring and a 2nd unit powerplay

I meant an additional....
They currently sit in 11th in goals for with 2.85/game
but...
only 16th in goals against at 2.62 against with 2.62/game
Now Hammer can help these numbers to a degree but our stat sample size has been over the course of the first half of the year, typically checking will amp up as the season winds down towards the post season.
I'm pretty sure we wont close the year without losing someone back there plus watching the D this year its pretty clear to me they need help (watch the d-zone fire drill last night for recent example!).
Adding some punch up front as well would be fantastic but stabilizing the back end and getting the puck up faster to our 11th best offence can only help...

I've never seen him play, but I hear he has all the skills, lacks the brains.
Obviously he has the God-given size + assholishness...
Apparently he is barely cracking the Top 6 in Utica atm, but hey he's only 21.
Best we can hope for is that he becomes a bottom pairing guy for the Nucks a few years from now?
Only if he can play. The goon is gone, unless he can play. I really like the idea of having a guy that can scare the shit out of any would be opponent and ALSO take a regular shift.

Even if he never cracks the NHL, having a guy in the minors to protect our young and promising prospects is probably wise from an organizational standpoint.

True story. I was strictly referring to the NHL level.
Well, lets hope that Pedan can play hockey cause the goons who can't play hockey are done in the NHL
“Tyler Myers is my guy... I was taking to Scotty Bowman last night and he was bringing up his name, and saying he’s a big guy and big guy need big minutes to play, he is playing great for ya… and I agree with him… He’s been exceptional” - Bruce Boudreau
Apparently Virtanens bum shoulder is acting up. Not good

I read it that it was the other shoulder, which is not to say that's a good thing but not necessarily meaning there is a chronic issue with the one on which he had surgery.
