UPDATE: AV confirms that Ryan Kesler has a broken foot. Andrew Ebbett will be called up from Chicago to replace Kesler

With Kesler out 4-6 weeks, Volpatti waived, and Ebbett recalled, the Canucks are getting softer and softer...

I can't remember where but I did read somewhere the Canucks were going to recall Pinizzotto but I did see where AV said probably Ebbett. Interesting.

All kinds of rumours today because he was at practice. Truth is he asked AV if AV needed any bodies for practice and AV said yes. Manny will not be back.

He spoke to the media today and basically said he feels he can still play. Would not comment when asked if he asked MG to trade him. Will do whatever he can to help the Canucks but is not ready to retire.

Bottom line sounds like he disagrees with MG's position but MG was firm, so much so that he would not trade him. I think Manny will try to land a contract in July and barring that he will retire.

But, no we won't see him ion a Canuck uniform again.

Pinizzotto had a setback, doubt we'll be seeing him anytime soon.
