So I really don't think having to run with a backup in Emery and an AHL call-up makes a difference to them.

Ant the Canucks had Lou, McLean and Brodeur. Hmm. Lou it top notch, but McLean and Brodeur were not ever considered top 10 goalies, let alone elite. Chicago has historically had a lot better goal tending than the Canucks. I'd love to see Chicago hit the crapper with Emery and their AHL backup. Well, either goalie will look bad once Chicago's hot streak is over.

EFF YOU, VINCE VAUGHN !!!

Well I would hope that an original six franchise would boast better goaltending history than the Canucks.....

Seriously? :eh:

Now, I can ser why you would assume, presume, reckon, deduct, find it plausible, reasonable or even accept it.
But wishing for it?!

Now that's treason!

The expression, "I would hope so", does not necessarily translate as "I wish it were".....

Stupid Viking. :scowl:

DUCKS SIGN G FASTH TO TWO-YEAR, $5.8M CONTRACT EXTENSION
One of the breakout stories of the 2012/13 NHL season was rewarded on Wednesday as the Anaheim Ducks signed rookie goaltender Viktor Fasth to a two-year, $5.8 million contract extension.

This season for the Ducks, his first in the NHL, Fasth has posted a perfect 8-0-0 record with a 1.78 goals against average and a .933 save percentage.
wow....nice raise for only eight games.

Looking at the Ducks GT'ing depth.....is another wow. So, Hiller moves to Toronto, ANA hangs onto Perry/Getzlaf?

Hiller
Fasth
Gibson
Bobkov
Andersen? (who was drafted by the Canes, then two yrs later by the Ducks.....)

Lindy's shelf life in Buffalo was up but was certainly aided by the shit hand his GM dealt him, and that traces goes back to the previous ownership's money woes that they never recovered from.

Butt you need a fall guy.

Is it too early to label Hodgson(and his silent G spawning father) a coach killer?

And Ottawa's season just keep getting worse.

Anderson leaves the game with a lower body injury. Looked to be in significant pain and couldn't really bear any weight on his left leg as he was helped off.

After the game he commented that it is just an ankle sprain and he hopes to be back soon. Good luck with that, I expect him to be gone for at least 3 weeks.

Is it just me or has the NHL declared open season on goalies?

Seems alotta goalies are getting run... and not many calls.
