His point is that his math is about as sound as his ability to judge hockey players.

I am all for starting anew without the twins in 14-15 but the mouth breathers who keep advocating this have yet to come up with a couple of durable ppg performers who will play here for a combined cap hit of 21.2 million moving forward. In all likelyhood the twins would probably sign back here on short term deals of 5 million per.

Who handed out all the rubbing alcohol to these kids ?

He hung around the same Slurpee machine as ppg Rummy during math class.

Player Agent Mike Gillis is really making Van City a player-friendly environment 8-)

my bad I meant 12.2 million. Either way the short bus gang will still skirt the issue.

Yeah, the kid was on a PPG pace with I-don't-know how many games left and I guess he fell off after that. Anyway I already admitted my minor mistake Topper. When are you going to admit your massive one?

For those who aren't aware, Topper for some reason launched this ridiculous vendetta against Hodgson, despite the fact that he was very young, despite the fact that he was our fifth-best forward and despite the fact that he had lost a season to a bad back injury. No beef with useless-ass Raymond or dumbasses like Booth, but Hodgson, grr, the rage.

I get not liking the kid's attitude or his father, but some of the things ole Topps said about Hodgson the player were truly ridiculous.

He said he had an AHL-level offensive skill set.

He said he wouldn't make it in the NHL.

He said he was a worse player than Andrew Ebbett.

Oh fuck there's more but I can't remember them right now.

And the absurd and hilarious part is he STUCK with those claims even as Hodgson has succeeded in the NHL! Even after Pot pimpslapped him all over the forum for the rabid absurdity of said claims! If I were you I would want to avoid all things Hodgson on this here message board Toppster.

And y'know old buddy, it's a weak and small man who can't admit his mistakes. But then you've never admited to being wrong about anything in the decade-plus you've been here have ya Topps. Do you think perhaps you have some underlying insecurity issues?

You see Topps, admitting your mistakes and letting them go. So everyone can move on.

You're a damned good poster, I know you have it in you.

:D

Wait, what? Henrik Sedin stats? Do you mean Henrik at age 23?

(quote)More like a 23 year old with Alex Burrows stats, though fewer goals. And more injuries.{/quote}

Rumours are that Grabovski is down to three possible teams:

Florida.

Calgary.

and Buffalo (sorry Cody)

Grigorenko, Girgensens, Larsson and a potential multi-year deal to Grabovski certainly doesn't paint a rosy picture for Cody. That said, if he rises to the top then the Sabres have a great player.

Be tough to hit 60 points from the 4th line.

You'd really rank Hodgson, today, 4th amongst those players?

Am I the only one wondering how Pigtown is gonna sign all their RFAs under the cap, let alone pending UFA Bozo?
http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=428209

Leaves sign Gunnarsson to a 3-year $9.45 million contract ($3.15mil per).

That leaves (pardon the pun) $6mil to sign Kadri, Franson, and Fraser.

Well less than that because you must save some room for injury callups.

I see alotta Leafers saying they'll just trade Liles for a pick (would the have to add another, lesser dee salary)

... but does anyone want Liles and his $3.875mil (for 3 more years)?

Yeah not sure how they're gonna pull this off without moving a contract.

Looking over their lineup I have convinced myself the Leaves are going to completely SUCK this year.

Yup, major suckage at the centre of the universe....
Dreger: "Franson trade speculation will heat up. leaves would like to keep him, but $$ is too much."

YUP, yup yup yup yup yup yup yup yup yup yup.

I say we offersheet Franson at $3.2mil per until UFAgency-time (not sure if 2 or 3 yrs from now and too lazy to look).

(re-sign Tanev first of course - $1mil for 1 year + promise to pay his worth next yr when the cap goes up)

Anyway, TO probably matches, but Franson keeps his loving home-town Vancouver in mind when he hits UFAgency.

Also it puts the crunch on the Leaves and Kadri offersheets become more likely. :mex:

I believe Fraser is headed to arbitration.

Could make it work cap-wise running with 7 dee and Corrado as first callup... and Santorelli as the 13th forward?

If not, here's hoping Franson and Kadri receive offersheets from... SOMEONE. :)

You're right Ohds, most of those guys won't surpass Cody for another year or so.

Well Grigs could beat him out in camp...

As of today if they sign Grabby?

1. Ennis
2. Grabovski
3. Ott
4. Porter

Not looking good for Holdout Hodgson...
