Good luck prying him out of their hands...watching him against the lames right now and the kid will be a gem. I guess he's probably not a big secret but man is he what the Canucks need.
You got that right buddy. In a few years Buffalo is gonna be really good.

Fucking Jagr, holy shit. Should be 3rd in goals and points all time by the end of the season despite two years of lockouts and like three seasons in the KHL. Played in a low-scoring era. Have to anoint the guy top-5 all time.

Rummy's all Euro NHL team (no red army players):

Forwards:

Jagr, Ovechkin, Fedorov, Bure, Forsberg, Selanne (considered Almo)

Defense:

Lidstrom

Goal:

Hasek

Who else gets in guys?

I would put Sundin in before Fedorov, as he had remarkable longevity.

Funny that 10 years ago Selanne looked so toast, and now he's the second-highest scoring Euro of all time.

Yeah I think Sundin was pretty overrated. Soft as fuck for a player that huge. Fedorov was a two-way beast and one of the very best of his era IMO.

Chara for sure, Kurri overrated, Salming too gay (see Per), Ovechkin in there already at #2.

Yeah King Hank is the backup and Datsyuk I considered. He never puts up huge points but he could be a checking centre with sick hands I suppose.

Konstantinov on defence? Karlsson?

I dunno about Sundin being overrated, had he played 20 years on any team other than the hated Laffs, he would be far more revered outside of Tdot.

Its shocking to me to read Scotty Bowman's old quotes about how awesome Fedorov was, because I mostly remember how useless he was for the last decade of his NHL career. I wouldn't have wanted him on my team post-1999. But Scotty thought he was the best player in the world in the mid-90s, and that if Fedorov had stayed on D he would have gone down as one of the best defensemen of all time.
