Ya kiss him goodbye. He's a pretty decent 4th liner who hits hard. I don't like seeing him go
If you need air...call it in

Can Vandermeer play the right side?
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Unless Bieksa can play this Saturday, the Canucks definitely need help on the blueline. Not saying that Vandermeer is the saviour but I don't think he could be any worse than Alberts.rats19 wrote:heard he couldnt play either? lolTopper wrote:Can Vandermeer play the right side?

Another bold move by Holmgren.
Gagne makes it clear that he is thrilled to be back in Philadelphia and he will not consider waiving his NTC if asked to by the Flyers. Will not be a short term stop over in Philly so if they had any ideas of flipping him he has made it clear it won't happen.

I heard Pinizzotto had a setback and won't be good to go for some time.Jovocop wrote:Are the Canucks trying to bring up Vandermeer or Pinizzotto??
Ben Kuzma @benkuzma
#Canucks have put fourth-line winger Aaron Volpatti on waivers. Could be another roster move coming.
With Kesler going on the LTIR they wouldn't need to waive Volpatti to create a spot.
The only thing that makes sense is a trade coming or a UFA signing.
Or am I missing something?

They apparently want Volpatti to get more playing time. If Ebbett gets recalled to replace Kesler we have enough bodies up front. Sounds lie it is a situation where they don't want him sitting in the press box any longer.

Yeah that's the way they generally like to spin it.Hockey Widow wrote:They apparently want Volpatti to get more playing time. If Ebbett gets recalled to replace Kesler we have enough bodies up front. Sounds lie it is a situation where they don't want him sitting in the press box any longer.
But we're smarter than that amirite?
Kess on LTIR + Ebbet up + Volpatti down = 12 forwards.
Since when do we ever run with 12 forwards?
Volpatti is 27 and would be on the 3rd/4th line of the Wolves = big whoop.
Nah, something is up.....

Yeah, if the ice time thing was a legit concern you'd think they'd try and get Barker on a men's league team or something!Strangelove wrote: Nah, something is up.....
Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
I'm not saying it's pertinent to this situation, but since there are no more recall waivers it is much more feasible to use your farm team for depth even if your first call up might require waivers.Strangelove wrote:Since when do we ever run with 12 forwards?
That being said, you still have to get them down there.
Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Wow... Didn't see that coming.
The compensation will be a 1st and a 3rd round picks. I just can't see how the Avs not matching.Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger

$5m for a RFA that has yet to score 20g a season. The Sedins and Kesler are cheap UFAs afterall.Brick Tamland wrote:Holy balls 5mil AAV!!! For only 2 years. On his body of work. That is crazy talk.
