4th - Bennett
5th - Dal Colle
6th - Virtanen
7th - Fleury
The Canucks did pretty good considering

Bennett was cowgreases best forward aling with that dark haired swede i cant remember his name... Hes not a 4OA talent or anything but has really turned into a decent player.

Yeah 2014 draft was pretty bad overall.RoyalDude wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 6:28 amWith the exception of Draisaitl the 2014 Draft Class Top 10 selections has to be one of the worst top 10’s in draft historyBlob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Mon Apr 22, 2019 7:34 pm Ehlers (aka my favourite player like Tom Sestito ) has struggled all year. That said, much like Nylander he still has positive value and won’t be difficult to move if Cheveldayoff wanted to shake things up.
1st overall Ekblad hasn't been a dominant force, plays more like a solid #2 dman, reminds me of Mattias Ekholm.
2nd overall Sam Reinhart is a good 2nd liner.
Only Draisaitl, 15h overall Larkin, 25th overall Pastrnak and 79th overall BPoint have been the best of the 2014 nhl draft bunch.
Honourable mention to 9th Ehlers, 112th overall Arvidsson both have more total points than $6.9M W.Nylander (playoff no-show).
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

I know Ehlers hasn't scored one single goal in the playoffs in 21 games & was held pointless in the last playoffs (another playoff no-show) but he's scored a lot in the regular season.ha

Sounds like a player the Players Agent would like. 0 goals 21 playoff games!!! Holy shit that is bad. And $6 Million per year for 6 more years?
Blob? Your thoughts?

Is he a playoff bust? 5’-11” 170 lbs, injury prone perimeter player, especially in tough hockey like the post seasonBlob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 8:40 amHe’s easily moveable
Ehlers vs Nylander?

I don’t love either guy. But they are both easily moveable and they would both return a significant package.RoyalDude wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 9:11 amIs he a playoff bust? 5’-11” 170 lbs, injury prone perimeter player, especially in tough hockey like the post seasonBlob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 8:40 amHe’s easily moveable

So who will you be using now to slag Benning over his Virtanen pick now that your two go-to’s have proven to be a couple of overpaid soft as butter tough hockey no-shows? Larkin?

Virtanen wasn’t the correct pick but I haven’t hacked on him in years. You bitch about him more than I do.
Ehlers and Nylander regardless of whether I like them or not would have been better selections. They hold more value and produce twice the points Virtanen does.

10.2 million William - 7 goals 54 games. Playoffs - 1 goal 7 games. Made $10.2 Million in a shortened season. Ehlers $6 Million per season 0 goals 21 playoff games!Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Sun Apr 28, 2019 9:23 amVirtanen wasn’t the correct pick but I haven’t hacked on him in years. He has no other, I was wrong when I called him a yo-yo.
It should actually be Polly.
