Great skater! And like Orr, did it with the old tube skates.

Coffey was really good at coasting into the frame while the other team was celebrating a goal

Why would he use tube skates? He played in the era of the Micron 1070, among many other molded blade-holder skates.

You might have more positive memories of him in a different sweater:

I remember a similar play by Coffey at the other end of the ice (to my left) leading to a goal by who I thought, incorrectly, was Wayne Cashman (though whoever it was was balding), where he simultaneously lifted the puck and jumped over a Russian player sliding across his path, as he was bearing down on goal from the right wing.

I remember it as a thing of beauty, but I could never find the highlight. Anyone recall this?

Bubbles must be happy - Sam Bennett scored his 7th goal in his 50th game of the season. Stalwart

Rangers put recently signed Brendan Smith on waivers.

A brand new shiny 4 years - $17.4M contract.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

The Bubbles crew will tell you that JimBro must have advised the Rangers on that contract.

Ducks Dennis Rasmussen on unconditional waivers.
McKenzie: Rasmussen’s first preference is to remain in NHL and, if claimed on waivers, he’d be happy to go to whomever claims him. But he would rather go home to SWE than play in AHL. Because a transfer window to SWE closes prior to NHL trade deadline, now may be good time for him to go.
Big dude 27 years old, doesn't play with any grit, responsible two-way type, Chicago and now Anaheim both gave up on him, he's probably going back to Sweden, ironically to our young homie's team Vaxjo probably.

Ty Ronning, yeah what's with the 20 assists beside your 51 goals????
