Well TO and ANA may have opened the floodgates.

Yandle to FLA for a 6th and a 2017 conditional 4th.

Reports it is a 5 year, 5.5 per deal. Not confirmed.
So the leaves now have $9+M tied up in their crease, and neither guy is a top 10 goaltender behind that porous defense.

I can see Cam Fowler being moved. The Ducks will keep Hampus and Sami and they are stuck with Bieksa. Despres or Fowler are gone for sure. Montour and Theodore are young up and comers.
They are stuck with Bieksa. We are not which is an example of good management I think. A lot of times these choices are a crap shoot. You get a player and he does are does not work out. No one can be right any more than 70-80% if that. That would be a the top end of seeing the future from a management POV. The other end of looking into the future is summed up by Luc Bourdon. Who knew eh?

Right now I am optimistic Elmer will help us build our talent pool. He can be considered in the 70-80% in talent spotting. What we do with this talent is another thing all on its own. Maybe a new coach. Maybe a new GM a year or two away and they will take what we all want. A cup. Or..........we will all get on our motorcycles and go for a ride just like Luc.....who knows eh?

Whatever the result, as long as we win a cup I do not care how we get there. GO CANUCKS. :D :bounce:   :drunk: :bang:    :stupid:
We all want the team to win a cup but at this point that isn't a realistic goal. It's like being 61 , living in shit hole like Toronto ,sporting a goatee and wanting to get laid. If you are that person and you play ball hockey and tether ball and are generally a pretty ugly fella , you likely have to settle
Well, 1 out of 7 isn't bad for a bukake guzzler IQ, I am one heck of a Ball Hockey player

The trade machine is starting to fire up, should be a good next 72hrs + .....
I love every move Jim Benning makes 8-)

Is Yandle UFA?

Florida adds O from the back end. Not bad.

Would be nice to get that for Hamhuis.
The only HW the Canucks need

Yeah. Essentially just negotiating rights went to FLA.

I would be happy with a 7th and a conditional 5th for Hamhuis.

Seriously, if he isn't in the future Benning should take whatever he can get and run.

Yeah that's the kind of return to expect from Hamhuis. 6th rounder, an extra 4th if he signs. Maybe just a 5th for the rights and leave it at that. After botching the deadline, at least get SOMETHING for the guy (or trade Sbisa and re-sign him).

Hmmm Jim Nill just gave Lehtonen a vote of confidence...

Maybe Winnipeg if they buyout Pavs ($1.6M X 2)?

... with just Fleury + Reimer available now?

I get the feeling SY will keep Bishop one last year, then trade his negotiating rights.

(Howard, Bernier, Niemi... all with negative trade value amirite)

Not sure how Burkie feels about UFA Reimer, but Fleury could probably be had for one of their three 2nds.

Lol said rankers must not be sports fans!

See, sports fans realize the Leaves are the most hated team in sports

... and Pig Town is literally crawling with Leafers!

No offense intended.

TSN states Lecavalier retired effective today. Frees up $4.5 for LA. Lucic just might stay.
