If he was really such an amazing coach in the AHL, he'll be able to find another job in the 'A', right?
Oh sure.

But if he has the NHL on his radar/Santy Clause wish list he apparently (obv.) made the wrong choice to team up with Sideshow Bob in the City of Champions because he may have goosed that chance for a while now (is all I'm saying).

Not that I care of course.

He's got a decent lookin' gash on his arm and a barrel full of cash.

Good work if you can get it.

Plus the Leaves will need a coach at some point moving forward.

Oh yeah. Why anybody is still willing to hitch their wagon to Kevin Lowe's star is beyond me, but I guess when they offer you a four year contract at somewhere north of $1M per year you take the chance.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

No doubt!! I'll bet he was dancing a jig all the way home after they gave him the news.

I can only catch quick glimpses of photos of the injuries to Voynov's wife. Lots of blood.
— Nathan Fenno (@nathanfenno) December 15, 2014

At Voynov's home, the officer noted blood all over bedroom, including covering comforter and a bloody handprint on floor.
— Nathan Fenno (@nathanfenno) December 15, 2014

Voynov pleaded not guilty at his arraignment earlier this month.

The officer also testified that Voynov’s wife had “bruising, red marks, scratches” on her neck, and was given eight stitches to close a three centimeter cut above her right eye.

Officer says Voynov's wife said he struck her in the face with his fist. #Kings #NHL

Nathan Fenno @nathanfenno
Officer: Voynov pushed her into flat-screen TV where she cut her face.

Nathan Fenno @nathanfenno
Among recorded comments attributed to Voynov's wife: "He kicked me here" and "Here he pushed me.

Nathan Fenno @nathanfenno
prosecutor: "there's evidence to suggest prior domestic violence"

Nathan Fenno ‏@nathanfenno
The judge didn't allow Voynov's attorneys to enter a letter from Varlamova into evidence saying that the alleged incident was an accident.

"accident" :roll:

Wouldn't be the first time a wife tried to change her story in one of these cases.

Voynov could be banned from the NHL, regardless of whether or not he's found "guilty" in a court of law.

The NHL has the right to make that kind of call, the NHL has an image to maintain.

I'm surprised this story isn't getting more press....

If you're really unlucky, it can give you meningitis and make you go deaf. I'm pretty sure it can inflame your balls so much you go sterile as well. It's not pretty in adults.

The NHL is at around 15 players and refs infected at this point.

I believe the vaccine is only 60-90% effective depending on what strain you're dealing with and what vaccine you've been given. Which may explain how Crosby came down with it, even though he received a booster before the Socchi Olympics.

It is why the West rules all of the NHL.
A long time ago, a baseball player remarked: "If I owned a ballclub, I'd hire a $5,000 coach and a $15,000 scout."

OK, came across this on Twitter, and this is absolutely golden.
Reports suggest Lowe agreed to send Comrie to Anaheim for prospect Corey Perry and a first-round draft pick, but only if the forward cut Edmonton a fat cheque.

He supposedly asked Comrie to pony up $2.5 million US to complete the transaction.

Kevin Lowe FTW! Give the man another promotion, and certainly a raise!
