I honestly thought I'd be more pissed. I've found other things to occupy my time. Beer league team is 5-1, hittin the gym hard and some time to do some reading (Sam Harris and Chris Hedges). I'm not missing hockey and I don't think I will until the dog days of winter, when it's too miserable to look outside (I'm north of 60). Even then there's plenty of crap on the tube to kill evenings.

This lockout, and the signings that immediately preceded it, just shows how bush-league professional hockey is.

Just so we are clear, I'm Catholic and not a Godless heathen, so Communists are my enemy. I am a union member and supporter so I'm honour bound to support all brother workers in the struggle for solidarity, which is why I have argued for the players, but I am no socialist, I don't believe government can replace private enterprise except in the areas of health and education as outlined in the Keynesian compromise. I'm also British and come from the working class, so dbr is right about the enemy of my enemy...

Not sure what he's getting at, but there has been no passenger trains to Regina since 1990 (service cuts by Tories).

RCMP beating the shit out of the 2000 odd ( maybe less or more ) unionists and communists taking part..One cop died .. one "rioter" died.. Height of the great depression.. most were from "relief camps" which paid 3 meals a day plus 20 cents..
