Only a fool wouldn't. I am glad the strike is on, from a healthy Kesler perspective, as guys like him usually rush back, and play during the last half of their recovery, instead of resting, and typically never seem to heal back to 100%.
What strike is this that you're talking about?

What kind of stupid and petty manager would cut off his nose to spite his face by locking the players out because they didn't dance to his tune fast enough. Do you realize how much money the owners and others lost because of Bettman's childishness. I can't believe he will still have a job before the season is over. There was NO reason to lock the players out. Fehr had offered to negotiate while the season was played thereby not costing anyone millions and millions of dollars. Outside agencies have lost faith in this fool and they more than anyone else gave us back the remaining season by threatening to take action if Bettman screwed up the entire season.

Going a bit off topic here, but Ken Campbell wrote "With lockout now over, it's time for Gary Bettman to step down".
http://www.thehockeynews.com/articles/4 ... -down.html
Bettman should sacrifice himself and put in his resignation in the near future, for the good of the game!

Anyways it sounds like RK17 this time will not rush back as he usually does, because if he re-injures a already weak spot on his body, it could be detrimental to his longevity in the NHL.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Fehr wanted to negotiate during the lockout so that he could play under the old CBA for another couple of years, thus earning the players a ton more $$ and costing the owners a ton ore $$ than the new CBA gives them. Buttman called the lockout because the NHLPA was not coming to the table to negotiate. Buttnam also knew that the owners were losing less $$ duting the lockout than the players were, and as such, it was a no-brainer move by the owners to lock out the players. My guess is that the owners break even on the lockout in 3 years. The players never break even. If Fehr really wanted to negotiate earlier, they would have sat down in 2011. The players gained nothing by not negotiating earlier.

This was obviously about more than just money for the players.

That's one helluva 2nd line we have when you take Kesler out of the equation. The wingers really take up the slack  Another brilliant Gillis move by trading Hodgson. Well golly gee batman, I guess we are in the market for a centre.

we would have needed another centre anyway, unless you wanted to throw Hodgson to the wolves after all the coddling...

3 questions for Johhny from Commercial Drive :

Ummm where would Coho play if RK was healthy ?

Would Cody be happy as the third line pivot ?

Can Cody play the wing ?

If your answers are anything other than 3rd line and bitching and no and no then you are out to lunch .

+1

Hodgson was not going to stay in Vancouver unless he was playing regular top-6 minutes and there's no way he could justify that on this team.

just like last season, Cody gets 2nd line centre 'til Ryan is healthy and then Ryan/Cody convert to wing all the while the elite Cody QB's the 2nd PP unit.

LOL it still makes me laugh that so many of you believed that nonsense.

In reality, Lappy gets a shot at 2nd line centre 'till Ryan is a go. Raymond is converted for 3rd line duties.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

  Boy Lappy, is real 2nd line material, a real point producing dynamo. But whatever floats your boat Topper.

It is completely out of this world to have 3 offensively talented centreman on one team, I mean, where the fuck do you put your Sam Pahlsson shut down specialists? It's so unheard of to have a 3rd line that can actually put up points. It's just not Canadian Shut Down Hockey. It's too exciting.

Apparently Kesler cant even lift his arm over his head. I would expect that this isn't a good thing for us in a shortened season and almost certainly means a trade needs to bring in more than just a temporary fix.
Schroeder and Ebbett are most likely not going to win this spot so it seems to be a pressing need if we hope to even make the dance the year. I love the confidence of the players in interviews taking for granted we will make it but if a Sedin goes down or basically any other top 6 that we have, we may find our team struggling to score.
Cotourier for RL would be the perfect move for today and tomorrow. Seeing how there's numerous reports about Holmgen inquiring, I wonder if he's even a possibility?
