In the playoffs you are stokin’
For the team who stole your heart
And you cheer till you are croakin’
But once again it comes apart
And the trollers are a-baitin’
As you prove twas all a sham
But the haters are just hatin’
And they just don’t give a damn
yeah

You go back Jack do it again
Wheel turnin' 'round and 'round
You go back Jack do it again

When you know the rules of hockey
Then you know that you’ve been had
When Brad Marchment’s gettin’ cocky
Then you know the reffin’s bad
So you turn to the newscasters
And you find they’re only tools
Just a pack of Canuck-blasters
Buncha mammy-rammin’ fools
yeah

You go back Jack do it again
Wheel turnin' 'round and 'round
You go back Jack do it again

Now you swear it’s the gospel truth
That you're not a hopeless fan
Then you find you're in the Phone Booth
With a program in your hand
The New NHL's your friend
Because it’s anything but drab
Then in the land of End to End
They bring back the Clutch and Grab
yeah

You go back Jack do it again
Wheel turnin' 'round and 'round
You go back Jack do it again

Thanks Ratski you're my biggest fan.

Forgot to include a stanza about the lockout....

When the lockout is completed
They are still the cat’s meow
Even though you’ve been mistreated
They still milk you like a cow
And when your stash is all depleted
You are anything but fresh
Then your punishment is meted
And dogs feast upon your flesh
yeah

You don't go back Jack do it again
Wheel not turnin' 'round and 'round
You don't go back Jack do it again

Oh God, I've gotta stop, I'm a sick twisted fuck, damn you Ratski for encouraging me....

Wow - that sure sums up everything to this point (and beyond).

Thanks, btw for the last half of that stanza I googled “what happens to old milking cows”.

Well it seems they’re generally made into dog food.

Hence the dogs feasting upon flesh bit.

A part of me wanted to end the song in a Dogsalmon avatar kinda way but alas I’m too classy. :D

  • Hockey In Our Weird World

    There's colors in our heart
    Green, white and blue
    People comin’ apart
    People losin’ their poo
    There's a warnin' sign
    On the road ahead
There's a lot of players sayin'
    They'd be better off dead
    Their friends of Satan,
    And his evil plan
But I try to forget it,
    Any way I can.

Need our hockey in our weird world,
Need our hockey in our weird world
Need our hockey in our weird world,
Need our hockey in our weird world.

    I see a thread about a man
    And a bear he snuffed
    From a high tree stand
    Sitting on his duff
Now he puts the bear away,
And takes a pic of it
    He posts it on Twitter
    And is called a twit.
    There’s one more thing
    That does not belong
    In a hockey forum
    Or a hockey song

Need our hockey in our weird world,
Need our hockey in our weird world
Need our hockey in our weird world,
Need our hockey in our weird world.

We got a thousand freakin’ hits
    On a singalong thread
    We got our redneck folk
    Just seein’ red
    We got pumpkins on stoops
    And heads on posts
    Got creepers a’ creepin’
    And ghouls and ghosts
    Got witches in windows
    Brewin’ up their brew
    Gots lots of black cats
    Got no hockey too

Need our hockey in our weird world,
Need our hockey in our weird world
Need our hockey in our weird world,
Need our hockey in our weird world.
:rockin:

EDITED, thanks for the idea Corny

forgive me Neil....

EDIT: Okay Corn, I edited it. Inserting "hockey" was a great idea, but this is anything BUT "the real world"!
