Alex will be 37 when this is over. I hope there is no NTC/NMC attached.

There is a NTC attached but I have no problem with that.

He's 31 today.

You expecting a three year lockout Tops?

Another good re-signing by the Canucks mgmt. Certainly, Burrows is seeking to get a deal in under the wire, but it's a good deal all around. Finally, hockey news I can read without cringing!

Apparently it's a NTC, not NMC.

I like the numbers, but would have preferred a 3 year deal.

The hope is Burrows will have a strong season as a 36 year old, the final year of his contract, but that's no certainty. Either way, it shouldn't be crippling if the cap keeps rising above 70M by that time...unless we have other dead weight contracts then.

My mistake,I thought he was 32. He'll be 36, he still has 1yr at $2mil before the extension kicks in.

If there is a player who deserves a fair contract it's Burrows. I agree :)

Burrows will turn 36 one month before this contract is up.

It's not likely Canucks ever wanna trade him, so who cares about the NTC.

All it means is that if we ever DO trade him, he has some say as to where.

Personally I feel he's earned that....
