FFS the guy bleeds blue + green.... + silver + white.

He is constantly moved around the lineup (even played centre last season!) and never complains.

One of the best penalty killers in the game bar none (shines in that department in big games).

Plus he is 3rd in goals amongst Canucks over the previous 5 seasons:

Daniel: 143 regular season + 18 playoffs = 161 goals.

Burrows: 135 regular season + 18 playoffs = 153 goals.

Kesler: 118 regular season + 12 playoffs = 130 goals.

NOTE: Burrows was not a #1 PP guy like those other two = Burrows is #1 in that time frame at regular strength.

NOTE: Burrows has scored some of the biggest goals in Canucks history.

Mr Heart & Soul is in a slump right now and the What Have You Done Lately crowd is all over him. :scowl:

While one has to give the nod of acknowledgement to the argument that much of what he accomplished offensively was with the Sedins, there is no questioning his heart.

Gillis called him one of the most versatile players in the league for good reason.

And some of his biggest goals have actually come when he wasn't on with the Sedins. Game 7 against Chicago was unassisted and the result of him pouncing on a turnover while forechecking.

I may think that his contract is a bit steep if he's not playing with the Sedins, but at least 750K of that per year is back pay for his last deal when he took the discount for the team.

And if it weren't for his reputation as a diver and pest, he would be my choice for team Captain.

buy low, sell high
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.
