Better hold that thought, I didn't say what the other half of me was!

Haha, as tongue in cheek as this may be, it can only help our cause.

At this rate, however, I'm starting to think Louie starts the season with your Vancouver Canucks.

______

On the Canes signing - $7M is a lot of cake for an enigmatic guy like Semin, but should we lose out on Doan, I think I would have been ok with the one-year flyer on Sasha - even at that $$ amount.

It's too bad that domino falls before the Doan one does, I suppose, but hey, that's the circus of closing doors that is the summer FA frenzy.

______

Lastly, after the Weber match, you'd have to think that the off-season market to trade a guy like Ballard would never be higher than right now...just sayin'.

1 year for Semin? Guess his reputation scared off a lot of teams from giving him a multi year deal. Like the Cane's up front now: Staal, Staal, Skinner, Semin, Ruttuu.

Nice score by the Canes.

It's a lot of money but it's only for 1 year deal and doesn't really handicap the team going forward.

Concur with Zedlee. Cane's looking sexy up front.

Well, unbeknown to Doc, I'm a half breed as well, Aaron. The other half of me is Scottish.

... yo mama pass out in da sheep pen did she? :P

Signing Semin to a ONE YEAR contract is a good idea, especially when a team has cap space to burn...

I'm pretty sure he is going to Chicago from where he'll be called up occasionally for muscle.

Geez guys y'know when Fred is the logical one here your definitely pissing into the wind.

I know you realize every team signs players of this caliber for the farm and hopefully only a couple call ups during the year.

The guy has played in Chicago before and has also played for Arniel during his last stint with the Canucks system. Seems about as logical a signing as possible from a player and a team standpoint.

Yawn, fart - next!
