I hope that the "Schultz" loophole would be fixed with this new CBA. Vancouver might not the top 3 destination in the NHL but I would imagine it would be among the top 10. Bjugstad could have the third line center job as soon as this season. I don't believe he would refuse to sign with the Canucks.
Bjugstad CANNOT "pull a Schultz".
Schultz had the loophole option because he played an extra year in the BCHL.
Bjugstad went straight from high school to the NCAA = no loophole.
Good news. Bjugstad is back on the table, even though I have no idea how good this kid is, if he is any good at all. I'm just going by what everyone else is saying. Every asset coming our way out of Florida seems to be a complete fucking mystery. Which scares me. That is, unless it's Burke or Nonis dealing with Florida.
