I wonder if Pat Quinn would be a good option? Quinn might be in his 80's (or 60's, 70's....same thing), but I think he can still mentally function well enough to take on the responsibilities of a full-time NHL coach.

Is Bob McCammon still alive? He'd be my choice.

Personally I think Rick Ley deserves another tour of duty here. We didn't have half the roster talent wise back then than we do now.

A bag phone
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

I don't want to say MG made the decision but I do believe he had a big say in it. I also don't think he would have had as hard a time selling the idea this year as he would have in past years. I also agree it is an unattended way to send a message to Lou. I don't think MG would deliberately do something like this as a means to an end though.

It all goes back to they absolutely love Cory and what he brings and really don't want to trade him. With that of course is full confidence that he can step in to be a number one. So my thinking is that this is a hockey decision, one we have the luxury of making because Cory has played so well.

Whatever the fall out of this decision, this game, this series, will be dealt with at the appropriate time.

If at the end of the day they have to trade Cory, for whatever reasons, I still think we have a pretty good fall back guy in Luongo.
The only HW the Canucks need

Oh I knew that. I was just trying to "one up" the bag skate punishment.

Wasn't Tikkanen on the team at the time? Sorry Esa... no beer for you.

It's as good a theory as any other theory about disrespecting Luo or is this Luo's last game or whatever.

At this point of time, it's a coin toss about who gives the Nucks a better chance to win tonight's game. Luo played well the first two. Ginger almost got an SO in game 3 so why not just stick with him.

When ginger wins tonight, we'll probably see Luo in game 5.

Just a theory. No facts to back it up.

Laforge's bag skates weren't his toughest drills.

He made guys run the 'gauntlet', & ended Rota's career that way.
