When Mclean went after Burrows I lost all respect for him.

OMG classic Don Cherry RANT on CC just now!!

He’s in pit bull mode and going after Burke BIG TIME!

“Two weeks ago Burke came after me for slagging Wilson and now, guess what, he FIRES HIM!!”

Says Burke tried to get Cherry fired by going to the NHL governors and to the brass at CBC.

"You wanna take me on??!! Ohh I'm shaking in my boots.... BRING IT ON!!!”

Says Burke threatened to get Cherry off the air two years ago.

Goes on about how there are ZERO Ontario-born players on the Leaves.

Yeah goes on and on about that.

“We Ontario people are paying your salary! No playoffs in four years and ZERO Ontario players!!”

Yeah what about THAT Brian Burke??

EDIT: LOFL MacLean just did a short voice-over of hockey updates, when he says "Stamkos scores for Tampa" you can hear Cherry yelling in the background: "FROM ONTARIO!!" I'm dying over here!! Two drops just came out....

Cherry rules. I swear I would quit watching HNiC if they ever fired him, as it is I'll probably quit with the intermission stuff as soon as he retires.

Things that put Grapes head and shoulder's above all other colour guys/analysts/sports commentators.....

1. Attitude. He says it like it is and isn't afraid of the backlash
2. Humility. When he's called on something he apologizes and is willing to retract comments when he knows he has crossed the line. He may seem like an arrogant, bullheaded moron at times, but he can at least admit it.
3. Humor. The guy is hilarious, he has his niche, he knows it, and he goes to what works.
4. Heart. He is passionate about his sport and he lets everyone know. More than that, the guy cares. He gets genuinely broken up when doing tributes to people who have passed away or when sending out condolences to families.

Well I hafta admit I love the drama Cherry stirs up!

They have a Coach's Corner thread at hf, usually there's a few posts each week.

Like 400+ so far since last night's butt-fucking of Burkie on national TV.

I love Cherry for all the reasons Meds mentions.

Cherry is EXACTLY like my dear ole dad (RIP) in every aspect, including his voice.

Except for the suits and the Leaf-loving of course.

Cherry loves the Leafs without question first and fore most but when BB tries to get the guy fired ( which I don't mind ) then Cheery feels it's his God given right to publicly denounce Burke. He\yt Cherry go and talk to Burke.... to his face don't waste my time. Can you imagine some thing like that on Monday Night Football. This is the best HNIC can do rant on to the entire nation like a little boy and dress him in ridiculous costumes
