This is bullshit! With all the added traffic from CCentral around here I'm having trouble keeping up with all the banter.
What happened to the good ole days when summer meant that a weekly check of the Corner was sufficient to keep in the loop? Now, I'm looking almost daily .... and still don't find the time to read everything .... let alone post. Don't you guys have jobs ... or is this what you do on the job??
What do we have in store for Sept. when Hockey is actually being played? Whew! .... it may be too much for me. Just thinking about it makes my old eyes weary.
Apparently it's affecting other regulars here too. Check out Fred's feistiness lately. Clearly the stress of all the action around here is getting to him!
In the past I spent too much time in my debates with Toucan (and others) as it was. What's the future hold? If Toucan returns to the fold my head might explode.

Seriously though, it's great to see all the activity on here and the opinions of the new guys are very entertaining. Lotsa good hockey knowledge and conjecture. I just wish that I had more time to spend here. The coming season will be very interesting to say the least. Guess I'll have to curtail my perusal of the porn sites to be able to keep up here!

Can any one explain if the volume of posts makes any sort of difference to Brian. I hope so he's persevered for a long time. A lot pf posters here have made a conscious effort to keep the posts coming in and the site active

The way I would look at it if I was a relative oldtimer posting on this site wondering what was going to happen:

-you will have an elevated discussion with several more knowledgeable posters
-you can be assured that the quantity will remain lower and/or quality higher than the other canuck fan forums
-you may also get HW and frankly that's simply gold when it comes to getting inside information from the canucks camp

I feel your pain Woodhog...to be honest, your opening post is the primary reason I migrated from Central to Corner in the first place....now it followed me hear....and keeps pulling me in. Meh; I don't have time to keep up w/ everything so I cherry pick the topics I am most interested in....perhaps this is just the honeymoon phase but I predict things are going to get nuts in the fall. My problem w/ the amount of posting at Central wasn't with the regulars; at the point I left there was a massive influx of noobs that were posting shit & nonsense. I'd had enough & Corner was a breath of fresh air. So far the majority of refugees showing up on our shores here are the regulars & remember which is great to see...and some fresh faces to boot.

It'll sort itself out Clambake. I get your point and it's also the reason i bounced back and forth between both boards over the last decade after being exclusively at Central from 96- 2001 or so. I believe I have gone months or years without posting at either board at one time or another. There was a time at central around 02 - 04 where the ht was 90 % fucking garbage and I never went there except to read the open forum. I started posting a bit more back there around 05 but I have also posted fairly regularly here as well. Central's quality picked back up over the last 5 or 6 years because of the influx of some really good posters who complimented the old pricks.

Things will calm down amigo. All you've had is the combining of the two best Canucks message boards out there. There will be some growing pains for sure but by the fall this place will be busier, but I think it will also be better and that isn't to take anything away from the guys who have been here for years.

I'm actually glad that there are actually hockey discussions to read and to join once again.

Central over the past few years has lost some of its flavour so I wasn't as motivated to post as in the past.

Coming over here feels like starting a fresh new life! Now during coffee breaks or boredom there's always interesting materials to read.
