Hammond Aigs wrote:Yeah, well, haters gotta hate, and the terrible events of that evening are pretty good fuel for that sort of thing. It's really sad that the following morning's feel-good story (volunteer cleanup of the riot damage; heartfelt messages of sorrow for the damage and anger at the rioters), doesn't get more play - I felt it was an affirmation of the goodness of most people and a common rejection of the previous night's thuggery. This of course doesn't affirm the haters' rightiousness, so you'll see no mention of it on CalPuke, but it doesn't matter. I haven't changed estimation of this city's worth because of the venom-filled, mindless statements of Vancouver haters.

Love the handle...and of course your right...Its not news if its "good"...

bump

Look like whenever you bump a thread it generates more garbage threads. I think I'll wait until fixed.

Some dude named "Deelow" has quite the nice avatar over at the inbred site. Stay classy B'ingo. I really can't believe that they allow an avatar like that witha Bieksa pic on one side and a pedophile on the other. What's next for that board a dude with a Clifford Olson avatar ? Lowest common denominator I guess. The fact that the mods allow that shit is pretty brutal.

CalPuke is and will always be a useless site, they have removed all the good posters and go for volume. Be careful they watch this site and will ban you there if they can connect the names.

Yeah I know that for sure. I went in there with a fairly anonymous name and still they figured out who I was. They go on the Canucks fan sites, see who we are, say something on the site that we frequent and then ban you from theirs. I know they followed me to that site that no longer exists and called me out. Are they that insecure about the Flames, their fan base and their site they must do that? :eh:

It's a great place to see people eat their own pubes.

tell me about it. I've bashed that site for 10 + years and rightfully so. Think back to the rivals days and B'ingo and his finger puppet Jiri have hated my guts for years for ridiculing their mess of a message board. I guess the truth hurts when threads are getting 100,000 hits and they are all howling at your fan forum. It isn't just Canucks fans who laugh at the inbreds either. I have pulled up threads from LGW and letsgoblues as well.

I have heard from very good sources that they were livid with the way the Bountiful thread portrayed their fan base as well as a few other gems over the years.

That said i am very glad BC Expat has come over here as he is a quality poster regardless of the fact he cheers for the Flames.

I wanted to post this in the Sedin "bashing" thread but rather having the Twins than two Kovalchuk's imo. 8-)

Like I said before - I really know how to pick 'em :look:  :drink:

But hey - anyone who has been a life long Canuck fan, knows what it's like - they had many lean years and stuck it out. That's the thing about being a fan - you have no control over what the organization is going to do. You just sit back, watch and hope for the best. Hey, in 10 years it might be a completely different story for my team - at least that's what I'm hoping.

Thanks Blob - I owe you a beer :drink:
