As a tourist i was in Calgary during the 2000 Stampede....legendary days i'll always remember...
Peachfest was incredible back in the late 80's...early 90's. Lots of stories from those days.

Just goes to show that any team can win a game against any opponent in the NHL.SKYO wrote:ummm excuse me Flames you guys are supposed to be competing for McDavid, now here you are beating the Blackhawks with awesome goaltending.

Being here the last couple of years has been pretty cool actually - the winters suck, but going to hockey games is hella cheap, and they have a couple good young players that are fun to watch.
Sean Monahan, for instance, I think will be their captain after Giordianioioio. The kid is shaping up to be a poor-man's Jon Toews, IMO, and that ain't too bad.

Re: From Bountiful to Ponoka
But is he really sure?I know it happened last year and I feel like it happened the year before too... Why is it that every other team in the conference seems to have games in hand over the Flames for the majority of the year?
I'm sure it all balances out over a season in terms of consecutive nights off and all that but it's honestly really annoying. What's the deal?
Also it was Tanev's birthday today, I hope he gets alcohol poisoning when he goes to celebrate the cup victory.
