CC Official KB3 Apperciation Thread
Ohdee's gotta felling we're going to be needing this thread a lot next season.
How huge was Juice in the playoffs? He and Hammer made up one of the best defensive pairings in the league!
Bieksa could have gone to market and would have got EAR-Hoff money but instead he close to be loyal to the franchise that gave him his shot!
I friggen love the guy and I can't wait to see his scowl next season!!!

Bieska had a great season, the question is do we get the same Bieska next season. He can be a bit of a mystery when it comes to consistency. Lets keep our fingers crossed
cheers

Juice finally had a full season without injury and it showed. If I remember correctly his "role" was more defined by the coaching staff this year as well. As ODB said being paired with Hammer was the perfect stting for him.
Being named as an "Assistant" was good for his confidence as well and he has handled the "spokesman" role very well.

A long time ago, a baseball player remarked: "If I owned a ballclub, I'd hire a $5,000 coach and a $15,000 scout."

As Hamhius goes, Bieksa goes. Here's to Hammer returning to full form in October soes the two of them can shut down every top line in the league.
They are both integral players for this club.

It's also important having his physicality and mean streak on the back end. It manages to keep some opponents in check.

Re: CC Official KB3 Apperciation Thread
In the last 5 yrs we've seen the importance of the defensive defenseman - to their partner and the goalie. Without Hamhuis, Bieksa can't be as offensive to the opposition, and Luo has to worry about shots from more areas. We also saw it in 2007 with Willie Mitchell helping Bieksa look good & Lu look stellar.BOS wrote:As Hamhius goes, Bieksa goes. I think when he finally shook the jitters he had about going into corners and getting a skate cut he returned to the Kev we all know and love. I don't think he just played well last season because it was a contract year and assuming he doesn't complete the hat trick of freak skate injuries I think he will continue his strong play.Fred wrote:Bieska had a great season, the question is do we get the same Bieska next season.
