West:

San Jose - Anaheim : The Ducks must lose, but if they bruise the Sharks a little on the way out - that's OK. (Sharks in 5)
Detroit - Columbus : Detroit is just to consistent to lose to the BJ's (Detroit in 4)
Vancouver - St. Louis : We have to win - it's our turn (Canucks in 6)
Chicago - Calgary : I think the Flames are tired from their short lineup (Hawks in 7)

East:

Boston - Montreal : It's the Centennial year, the Bruins are much better (Boston in 5)
Washington - New York : Gotta love the Cap's young talent (Caps in 6)
New Jersey - Carolina : The Canes are hot and could upset (Canes in 7)
Philly - Pittsburgh : Could be the best first round matchup (Philly in 6)

West:

San Jose-Anaheim: San Jose in 6. Anaheim makes a series out of it but SJ is just too much.
Detroit-Columbus: Detroit in 4. Columbus is just happy to be there.
Vancouver-St. Louis: Canucks in 6. Luongo gives the boys a chance to wake-up and Sundin shows up late in the series.
Chicago-Calgary: Chicago in 5. Calgary fills up the penalty box and Kipper is out of gas.

East:

Boston- Montreal: Boston in 5. Montreal wins game 4 at home to stay alive, gets shutout in game 5.
Washington-New York: Caps in 7. Theodore tries to lose it for the Caps, but Ovechkin (as usual) carries them into round 2.
New Jersey-Carolina: Jersey in 5. The way Brodeur played to break Roy's record... he'll turn it on when he has to.
Philly-Pittsburgh: Penguins in 7. I agree it'll be a great series, but given the Penguins recent success under Bylsma they'll take it.

I'm going with Blues in 7.. But really this is one of the hardest ones to call. Both of these teams are so hot right now and have solid goalies.

Ah it's been so long since the Blues fans have had a reason to come calling. Not that it's a slam dunk for us, by any means, we've been playing down to the Blues since the lockout.

In fairness I posted on this board for at least a couple years. Guess you guys got a new database or something cause I could register my old name again. I'm not here to troll, just to talk hockey. But yeah it's been a while and it's amazing to be back.

Oh sorry, I recognized the name, didn't mean to imply you weren't welcome. Ironic how your namesake is now on our side though.
