typical fold. a 2 goal lead thrown away.
it wasn't the Dallas loss after the all star game.
it wasn't the 6 losses against colorado
it wasn't the 3 losses against LA
it wasn't the loss against Tampa
that is going to knock us out of the playoffs.
it is the 2 games were we had 2 goal leads to blow them against Colorado and Calgary.
THOSE 2 games killed us. They have NO heart. Zero
Linden who had 2 goals the night before and energized the crowd and fans got 11:19 of ICE time.
sad. What happened to Pyatt only 4 minutes?

I only watched the highlights, but man is Luongo out of sync right now. He's sliding about, committing to plays far too early and generally letting in goals he shouldn't. The offence bought him a 2 goal lead, while the team didn't play very well after that, he has to be there for us. He hasn't done that consistently since December, and that's a big reason we're not in the top 8 right now.
Good lord I couldn't take another playoff miss at this point. DON'T BLOW THIS SEASON CANUCKS.

unless we get help from the Blues and Hawks I dont see how we can pull this out.levelheaded wrote: DON'T BLOW THIS SEASON CANUCKS.
The blues had a THREE GOAL LEAD and they blew it and it sounds like Legace is out.
2 out of 3 years with no playoffs is not good. 1 playoff out on Lou's 4 year contract is unacceptable. Nonis is on his last legs this summer.
Im not sure I have the confidence in him picking the right UFAs. Especially for 8 spots drafting under him has been better his contract signings have been decent.

Meh. Typical AV - hates Linden won't give him much time even when it is blatantly obvious he should get more. Lets see here, he plays 11:19 ice time, ends with 1A +1, the Sedins and Naslund with all playing roughly double that time each end up with 1A and -1 for DS, -2 for HS and -1Nazzy. Yes, AV definitely rewards effort and results.mattola wrote:Linden who had 2 goals the night before and energized the crowd and fans got 11:19 of ICE time.
Beautiful pic Matty and quite well-suited to the times.

One wonders if the wops are preparing to give Gillis the same treatment if/when the team misses the post season this year. I figure the Canucks will need to go 14-6-2 to make it so it seems unlikely that happens. Will the Italians punt Eye Bags to the curb ? Not saying they should but it is a valid question . Well that and I always like to see good burns like this one bumped six years later.
These guys seem kinda impatient and knee jerk if you ask me.
