Anybody else think the NHL handed out these games as a thank-you to franchises that toed the line during the Lockout and lost the most? Vancouver is one of the more profitable teams, along with NYR and Toronto. LA missed on a post-Cup season.

BUT, the Wild are left out, in spite of an outdoor Hockey Day in 'merica game in Minny making the most sense. Philly also left out in spite of wanting to host a game in a football arena (as opposed to the ball park, which had the lowest capacity of any winter classic yet).

Perhaps the League isn't too happy with the Parise/Suter/Weber deals heading into a lockout?

Speaking of sports media , Canada loses two of its finest in Onrait and O'toole to the US.

I would have kicked in a hundy to see Don Taylor head south.

I fucking can not stand those two. Glad they are gone, although I won't have anything to pilot drill holes with if Onrait takes his nose.

Arguably the worst two sportscasters since the the Hewitts in the 60's and 70's

Sekeres needs to be shot, seriously cannot stand that dude. Both him and Botchford
