What was Ovechkin thinking?

I feel for Buffalo. One of their top players gets checked from behind into the boards and Ovechkin gets zero punishment! Stupid. He should've gotten 1-2 games.

The hit was cheap, but not nearly as bad as it could have been. OV held back quiet a bit.

I didn;t think it was that bad....i'm getting sick of the PC approach to the NHL right now.

It was a hit that was poorly timed....but a suspension???? the toughness in this game has gone downhill, and i'm hating it!!! where is the hitting overall?!?!?!?!

I'm all for banning headshots, and i'm going off-topic here with this rant but who here is fed up with the lack of hitting in most games today? (Christ , lately I sound like Tom Benjamin, i'm starting to agree with a lot of his opinions about the new NHL).

Ya, this is being talked up like its some kind of major thing. Its not, it was a stupid thing to do for sure but the way it sounded on the radio was like he rode is head into the separator or something.
