Alexander Edler (Kelowna, WHL) 2004 - 3/91
- 31 GP, 7 G, 25 A, 32 Pts, 28 PIM, +21, 6th among WHL defensemen, 7th among WHL rookies, 1st among WHL rookie defensemen
- adapted very well to the WHL's game, much better than everyone thought
- is 1 of 3 WHL defenseman to average more than a point per game (Shaun Heska and Mike Card are the other 2)

Great update jc, Luc should be a lock for a starting job with the Canucks next year.
The way he played at the WJ's says he's ready for the show.

I would also think Edler will start next year with the Moose and continue learning the NA game. Alex has played great this year and every time I watch him he's getting better. You never know maybe he might join Luc with the big boys, but probly a year with the Moose would be better for him?

A couple of notes - Jannik Hansen played in the WJC under 20 Division 1 Group A tournament in Slovenia Dec 11-17, 2005... 3 goals and 1 assist in 4 games played.

They are: Kris Fredheim (Campbell River, B.C.), a 6-2, 183-pound defenseman with the Notre Dame Hounds of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League; Dan Quilico (Thousand Oaks, CA), a 5-9, 170-pound left wing with the Trail Smoke Eaters of the British Columbia Junior Hockey League; and Billy Sweatt (Elburn, IL), a 6-0, 180-pound forward with the U.S. National Team Development Program's Under-18 squad and younger brother of CC junior defenseman Lee Sweatt.

I voted Bourdon, but I also am looking forward to Schneider --- but we probably won't see Cory until 2008 or so.
