Poll: When will the season start?

I saw Ron McLean on last nite and he figured that the NHL season would be back in January sometime and then having a 48 game schedule.

He said that with baseball playoffs coming up and the NFL season starting the owners weren't in a real rush to get things going as it was their "slow" time of year as far as ticket sales went. They would be more interested in just sitting for a few months and trying to look at things in January.

Ron also said that he felt it was different than in '94 because players were making far less than they are now ... players who are making 10 million a year etc. now would be putting a lot of pressure on Bob G. to get things done.

Just thought it was interesting ...

I could be wrong but I'm thinking that Herr Merkwurdigliebe meant to point out the differences or lack there of between and betwix this lockout and the last lockout ..... And no doubt the next one too.

I think i hear the fat lady warming up on the season. The sooner the better imho. False hopes are for losers. Christmas is coming , then the new year, spring will be here shortly after.....time to dust off the ball gear, golf clubs and fishing rods. F the NHL .
