Round one gets underway on the weekend. We know the East is set.

Boston over Toronto in 6
Florida over Tampa in 6
New York over Washington in 5
Carolina over NYI in 6

Too early to predict the West. The seedings may be set after the Dallas game if they get get at least a point off of St. Louis.

The first round is usually the most exciting and brutal. Some good matchups for sure.

Florida/Tampa - Florida in 7. Tampa has star power and muscle memory, but Florida's too deep.
Toronto/Boston - Boston in 5. Toronto has forwards, but Boston has D and a goalie.
Rangers/Washington - Rangers in 6. Washington will be plucky, but the Rangers are too stacked.
Carolina/Islanders - Carolina in 5. Snooze. Fest.
