Not to put too fine a point on it, but 11.6 registered a single shot on net tonight. Stepping up huge.

In all fairness though, the team only managed 12 shots on goal and Miller had 6 of them.

I got called away and couldn't watch the 2nd and 3rd.....how did we register so few SOG and they only got credited with 11 blocked shots? Were we playing the ultimate game of possum or did we spend too much time passing around the outside?

It was circle the wagons Travis green hockey. I will note that they may have been outshot heavily but gave up jack shit for high danger chances. They didn't get any themselves either but against a team that's faster like Nashville it worked

Someone has to push back on the Benningbuilt and Genius agenda. 8-)

I would guess Brendan Dillon is done for the playoffs.

Not even Chef brings up Benning and Gillis anymore, if I am it’s because I’m getting roped into it by others. Chef has moved on to the Allvin watch show, some of his blunders has him very concerned.

His blunders? Rutherford and his manservant Smithers have orchestrated one of the quickest, most dramatic reversals of fortune I've ever seen in the NHL

Phili several years ago comes to mind, theirs wasn't sustainable as they reverted to the limbo hell of mid pack mediocrity. Of season FA action will determine where that goes for Vancouver.

Kuzmenko - blunder
Mikheyev - blunder
Lindholm - blunder
Freidman - blunder
Bloom - blunder
Kravtsov - blunder
Studnika - blunder
Stillman - blunder
Dermott - blunder

So many draft picks traded away. But I will say this, the book isn’t written, the jury is still out…I do like some of the things he’s done with the “great core” he inherited…let’s just hope he can succeed with the greatness he inherited compared to the failure of Mike Gillis with the great core he inherited. The parallels are uncanny! Gillis wasn’t the right man for the job with his inheritance, let’s hope Alvin is.

Kuzmenko and friends for Lindholm wasn't exactly a blunder. EL is still a very good player he's just not a great player.

Kuzmenko is a defensive liability who likely would be getting caved in hard in this series. Lindholm makes solid plays. He isn't the 80 point center no but he's very sound which comes in handy when you're playing a defense first game like the Canucks are.

Concerns over Pettersson are much more pronounced right now than Lindholm

Definitely. I'm starting to wonder what the plan is with Hronek and if he will be the focus or not. He wants the big money but frankly has been merely average in the playoffs so far.

If Tanev is looking to come back for a reasonable hit and we can retain Z, Joshua, Blueger, Cole + maybe another large body UFA D...maybe that's progress moving forward instead of overpaying for FH

The negative on Lindholm isn't his fault. He was expected to contribute down the stretch but ended up missing extended time injured. That really tarnishes the under achieving cap dump Kuzmenko for a rental Lindholm. Through three playoff games, he has been a warrior.

No to Tanev. He isn't the player he once was and why would he leave tax free Texas.

On a one or two year I would bring him back if the $$$ was Canuck slanted. Apparently he was really hoping to come back at the deadline and seeing as Dallas may be swept here then who knows. Some people hate the heat

I actually don’t mind Lindholm, but to me he’s just a pure rental cause you don’t tie up big money in a 30 year old center on the downside of his career to play on the 3rd line. I just question the timing of the rental and the position of the rental with how awfully thin we are in the wings on the top two lines. But the rental may still prove me wrong, so I’m still on the fence with it.

Tanev is only an option as a placeholder on the right side until Willander is ready if Hronek prices himself out in negotiations and we are forced to trade him. The question is what do you seek if we are shopping Hronek?

The Oilers are dismantling a stingy defensive tream that the Canucks struggled against this season. Draisaitl has been very impressive, he’s on a mission. As of now I’d say the Oil are favourites to come out of the west.
