(but usually... in the regular season... we count 23 players)

Most teams are icing 20 guys that add up to... a couple of mill below the cap?

Edmonton has no trouble with their system. I think they have the speed that they don’t need to dump and chase as much as the Canucks tend to. Rather the Canucks play the Oilers anyway.

I figure the Canucks odds against Nashville and Edmonton are better than anyone they would face in the Central. Glad Vegas crossed over and has to go through Dallas and one of Winnipeg-Colorado before the Canucks have to face them if they both make it that far.

Oilers let the Kings back into it at the end. Skinner is definitely solvable for LA. It’s a question of whether or not they can figure out McDavid. They put a little too much focus on him and it left Hyman all alone too often. Hyman would be a 3rd line scrub without 97…..his hat-trick goal he was a pylon beside the net behind everyone while McDavid did everything.

On the east coast Horvat’s Islanders blew a 3-0 lead, giving up 4 goals in the final period, to lose 5-3.
