I agree with Doc, and will save some typing. ;)
Ditto.

Flames have to be the least impressive conference champs I can recall. They're just ripe for an upset.

Jets have been junk for months, also ripe for an upset. In spite of an entire summer of media coverage about how awesome they are, they aren't playing well at all, up and down the lineup and are every position.

Trotz is going to will his team to a revenge matchup with the Caps

I could see it going either way for the Flames - they could be knocked out in the first round or they could end up in the SCF. I'm not sure what we will see when they hit the ice on Thursday. If Calgary's 3M line can shut down the McKinnon line, then the Flames should prevail. Anyway, I'm not betting on them either way.

Tampa in 6 - Torts and Kekalainen get fired afterwards
Boston in 7 - Babcock gets fired afterward
Washington in 5 - Cherry blames Carolina's downfall on "The Leap"
Pittsburgh in 7 - Crosby drags his team to the 2nd round

Calgary in 6 - Tkachuk gets suspended
Vegas in 7 - Thornton takes a lap with his junk out at the end as a way of announcing his retirement
Nashville in 6 - Benn calls out ownership and management in the media afterward
St. Louis in 7 - Teammates summarily delete Laine's Fortnite account afterward
Love the Sport. Love the Team.

Hate the League.

Flames should smear the Avs in five and hope the Sharks and Knight kick the shit out of each other.

The whole West itself is a weak conference this year. If there was ever a year to go on a run, this is it.

Flames in 5 - Avs are a mystery. Top line has faded from a dominant start. Question Rantanens status.
Sharks in 6 - Don’t trust the Knights this year
Preds in 7 - Preds and Jets have really underwhelmed this year. Don’t trust the Preds but don’t think the Stars have enough depth
Jets in 6 - It’s the Blues. Otherwise I would have gone for the upset

Caps in 6 - Carolina has been hot but Caps are peaking
Pens in 6 - Same old, same old
Lightning in 6 - I think Columbus will play well but too little too late
Leaves in 6 - Tavares neutralises the Bergeron line and the Leaves superior offensive depth sees them through. This is the beginning of the end for the Bs. Time comes for us all.

Winnipeg press puts out this story on Game One game-day:

https://www.winnipegfreepress.com/sport ... 53402.html

Using 6-year-old tweets in a blatant attempt to throw Binnington off his game?

The way I see it the kid was trying to be funny when he was 19 years old... and failed miserably.

But already the overly sensitive crowd is up in arms.

I can see the first two being considered culturally insensitive... but that 3rd one? :eh:

Anyway, more evidence we're living in a world gone mad...

Islanders score in 1st minute but it’s gotta be called back. Clear offside.
