the resident flamer knows flame outs
The resident coal miner knows blockheads which is why he aligns himself with them

Does your wife have to pressure wash you off after a day at the mine or do you hop into Christina Lake to save hot water?

When you are drafted at the spot OJ was drafted you would expect by now he would be in the NHL. If he does not show significant improvement in the next season then one would have to assume he is a bust.
He would be in the nhl if he didn’t suffer some shitty injuries.
This is my view also dick.... I can’t see why people don’t see it
What we have here is FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE.

"Bust"

See, by Reef's definition, Luc Bourdon was a bust as of May 29, 2008.

Hmmm

But this is the type of contract Blob and IN would hate. Not sure we can endure the pee party over Myers entire term.
You’d love to give Myers $8x7. Just like you loved the Eriksson deal, and the Sutter deal, and the Sbisa deal....

I would enjoy watching you twist yourself in knots trying to defend it for the next 7 years. The Dude in 2024: “if fuckin Gillis woulda left us something we would’ve never had to sign Myers”.

IMac reporting Jimbo will be ‘aggressive’ on July 1st. Why not, after all deals for Loui, Beagle, Schaller, Del Zotto, Gagner, and Nilsson sure worked out right? I guess 65 games of Roussel was decent though so 1 for 7 is a good batting average.
The Loui and Gagner signings ended up biting us, but the Beagle signing seems fine.

The rest were just 2 year deals for low dollars, so what's the problem.

Bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch, bitch...

Del Zotta was fine for a year and ended up getting us Schenn.

Nillson was an okay backup for those dollars and brought back a pick.

And you forgot about Miller, Vrbata, Vanek... all excellent signings.

Bartkowski, Weber, Kenins, Bartkowski, Cracknell on cheap one year deals did us no harm

So what are we at now? 12 for 15? :mex:

With the cap going up and looking at the Canucks contracts or lack thereof in the year 2021 when Pettersson and Hughes need new contracts, it's almost the perfect timing for the Canucks to spend $11M per for Karlsson July 1st.
A long time ago, a baseball player remarked: "If I owned a ballclub, I'd hire a $5,000 coach and a $15,000 scout."

Just to counter my point now haha:
Pierre Lebrun:

Coincidence or not?
The most expensive player left in the Stanley Cup playoffs makes $8 million a year.

Which is less than what some RFAs will sign for this summer. On the changing market place and the challenge for teams trying to keep their depth:

https://theathletic.com/975475/2019/05/ ... p-balance/
Burns is the highest paid AAV player in the final 4, @ $8M per.

Why acquiring players that are cost controlled for a bit, and notably drafting and developing (Benning & his crew main talent) the core of your team is paramount in the cap era.

Thus I'm changing my tune on signing Karlsson a bit *shocking yes I know ha*, unless it's something silly like a two-year $15M per deal aha, while Petey/Hughes are on their ELC's.

That's unlikely, so now I'm really thinking it's time to make a trade to land a top 4 right side dman in a semi blockbuster rather than sign a UFA, to keep the next dman at around $7M-$7.5M range long term. Time to find a cap strapped team who has an extra dman they can move. Maybe Subban isn't such a bad ideal if the Preds retain a mill per.
