So your saying, in your considered opinion, Goldy would quite likely not do this;

BURE
One of my favorite moments, was watching the game on the tube with some friends.

I was watching Bure very closely on that play, I could tell he was extremely pissed.

I was looking for it and jumped up yelling "YES!" immediately upon impact.

Four days later I had a seat on the glass at the Coliseum.

I heckled Churla mercilessly... he wanted to kill me!

I have little faith in Goldy sticking with the team, this is his last kick at the cat so he better make it. I want to be surprised and excited and see him get 40 points and be an exciting player.
I don't disagree... you little cat-kicker you.

The funny thing is that he's a year younger than Leaves' Johnsson

... and he's played 61 NHL games compared to Johnsson's 9 (similar numbers per game AHL and NHL).

Yet every Leafer on the internet will tell you Johnsson is absolutely for sure going to be an impact player this season.

(from Game One!)

Yep, those TO cats lap up the koolaid like it was going out of style...

A long time ago, a baseball player remarked: "If I owned a ballclub, I'd hire a $5,000 coach and a $15,000 scout."

Gaunce is no worse a player than Granlund or Goldobin for that matter
Blob, you are gonna have a hard time erasing that comment from the internet.

While Granlund and Goldobin are not yet full time NHL'ers, and may never be, Gaunce has this big hole in his game called a complete lack of offense. The last guy we had who was worse offensively was Jason Struwick.
I should have stipulated.... “ as a 12th to 14th forward Gaunce is no worse than Granlund or Goldobin”. We have no knowledge how Green wants to deploy these players.

You are aware Strudwick was a D man .... right? Funny he reminds me a lot of a certain D man on the team right now, that for whatever reason was re-upped for 4 million a year. Except Struds cost a fraction of Duds.

Gaunce has been a 4th liner period since he’s been here. He is a good defensive player even if he is a black hole with the puck. Granlund and Goldobin are much better offensively but bleed goals against. It depends on what Travis wants to do with his extra forwards. They may not even be in direct competition.

I just get a kick out of all the bed pissers wanting to shoot Gaunce out of a cannon , like an extra forward at 750K is the difference between contending and not contending. It was his fault Boucher, Megan, Dowd and Chaput were so lousy.

LMAO

Churla was never the same after that. Bure fucking creamed him. I loved it !! That fag Jim Peplinski carrying on how dirty the hit was. Fuck him. Pavel did a similar thing to Todd Simpson when he kept fucking with him.

ishes them when they fail, but good Pickers have great timing and are not defensively inept. Now Pavel was a fine Cherry Picker and could be on my team any day. The sooner Goldobin ends up in the KHL and Gagner gets moved, the sooner Dahlen gets his rightful spot on the team. Goldobin might get some points, but he will give up many more. Let Dahlen do the picking. Waive Goldy goodbye. My decision is final (gavel drop).

I don't know if we have anyone on the team who is as strong as Bure was back then. Bure was 2nd on the team for bench press back in the day. I think it was Babycvh or Myrzyn who beat him. Goldie isn't that strong....

I want to see Gaunce in Utica. I like what he brings at that level, but it doesn't translate into the NHL. And, yeah, I know I compared Gaunce's offense to one of the least offensively talented D-men. Gaunce is really just that bad at the NHL level. He doesn't think the game fast enough, nor does he have the stick and puck skills for this level. Sbisa used top have turn-overs in his own end, with 4 other guys already there to help. Gaunce does his turn-overs in the offensive zone, and causes a bag-skate for his line mates to back-check.

And regarding the other duds you mentioned, nope, it isn't his fault. But thankfully, this year, we have better forwards, so the likes of Gaunce,
Dowd, etc. should never get near our NHL line-up. They are not even 12-14th forwards on any of the other 30 teams. Granlund and Goldie also have holes in their game, but they at least have the potential to be solid 2nd/3rd liners.

Wish Trev did something similar to Messier during that run. Messier did that cheap elbow to him without much consequence. Trev should have at least smoked him into the boards or something.
