I do not hate JB, it has nothing to do with the person but more around what he has done as a whole since he has been here. Without going into detail and because why would we do that again, he has made some bad deals and some good ones. When ever a player is signed all we hear is that "the term and $$$ is the going rate", I take him at his word. The type of player and other aspects I may question, or why this guy was chosen as it seems to be blocking a prospect from being developed.

I also believe that he was forced to make some signings, IMO there is no damn way a genius would sign LE for the length and $$$.

I would like to see him make some deals and get some more picks for 2019, especially since it is Vancouver. Make deals now for another 1st rounder as you never know who falters and that pick has a chance of being a lottery pick. Make some deals and get more 2nd and 3rd round picks with the boat load of players currently on the team. I will not go into any discussion of who to move and for what, that is his job and his staff's job (and Skyo 8-) ).

I don’t think he was trying to please Green. I think he just decided that now is the time to unleash some kids and that had to be balanced with adding defensive awareness and responsibility and grit.
HW: u can disagree, but check out around the 11:00 mark (according to Jeff Patterson).

After a spew like that, I think it important Canuck management make it clear that although coach Green was consulted, he most certainly
DID NOT make the calls on who the Canucks went for.

FFS !!!!! Green is still a "greenhorn". Just had his first NHL year as a head coach.
Had no defensive success at all, Bo was already great, Brock was already great.
Didn't get more out of LE and I can go on and on.
Maybe a wee bit of success with Virtanen, but even that was more like "DO IT OR I'LL BEAT YOU WITH HUMILIATION"
As far as I'm concerned, Green and his staff need more "development" than the skaters.
I shouldn't listen to media drivel.

What's wrong with a GM going out to appease his coach? The GM invested in the coach, they want to win, GM goes and gets some players that the coach needs to win. I heard Gilman say that he luved AV like a brother, but AV annoyed the hell out of him by always saying (in that AV tone): "GET ME SOME PLAYERS!!!"

AV was a "proven" NHL level coach.

Anyways, I'm not going to argue what an NHL coaches responsibilities are. Ill just pose the question
are they, he, "the" one that choose the direction an NHL franchise takes?

Stecher going into the harsh arbitration world.
Dhaliwal:

Hearing it's fair to assume that Troy Stecher will file for arbitration today, doesn't seem like a deal will be struck today. Both parties will continue to have more dialogue before any potential hearing later in the summer.
A long time ago, a baseball player remarked: "If I owned a ballclub, I'd hire a $5,000 coach and a $15,000 scout."

Lil trojan is going to find out how useless he is.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Are you saying he shouldn’t be able to voice an opinion? Cause that’d be dumb.

Of course not. Absolutely should be part of the process and privy to all pertinent organizational decisions.
Just not catered to.

Burrows calls it quits.

RIP Burr. Dragon slayer goal had to be his career highlight. Too bad about the hair pulling and biting but he was heart and soul for a few years

Yup Burrows had those Geoff Courtnall stealth skills when games mattered. He also was the posterboy for eastern/alberia based anti-canuck hate. He should've got to retire playing for the stinky whale

And salute to Burrows loving the organization enough and seeing the team rebuilding he knew it was best for the franchise to waive his NTC so the team could get a young asset back.

He's a true fan of the game and he loves the Canucks.
