The limited ntc they got are nothing to worry about, first 2 years 15 team no trade list (they ain’t getting traded anyway), last 2 years of beagle is a 5 team list (basically Canadian teams) and roussel is 8 team list than last year at 5 team list.
Again I don’t have a massive problem with these contracts. I just want Paul Bearer to cut some of the driftwood loose and get a couple more picks for the 2019 draft. The IGC outfit like to jump on anyone who isn’t spinning cartwheels about every move the team makes. These guys have a bit of bite and can play team defence. I just hope there is room created for three or four rookies if they earn the spots.
Yep that’s similar to how I see it - don’t want Granlund, Eriksson or Gagner taking the spots of kids. We know what those 3 and a few others on the roster will give and it’s not pretty, so might as well give a kid a chance. Don’t mind the guys they brought in yesterday even if the deals aren’t great, they bring some jam and hopefully will make sure the kids don’t get their asses handed to them.

The pro-Benning supporters are becoming more like Trump supporters every day - he can do no wrong in their eyes. It’s not black and white, there are shades of grey. Drafting is good to very good (lately anyway), trades have been so so to bad, and FA signings have been awful. The only half decent one so far is Del Zotto, the rest have been crap almost to a man.

Still, the rebuild moves on even if I think it could have been done much quicker. If they get to where they need to go I’m good with it.
It’s like driving to Penticton from Vancouver. Most people would take the Hope-Princeton or the Coquihalla and then the Connector. This management group would take the Fraser Canyon and go all the way to Prince George and then double back go across the 24 and then down through Kamloops and back through Merritt to Pechland. The mouth breathers here would have you believe that’s the most efficient way despite the 16 hours and three tanks of fuel It took to get there.
LOL. Many would get lost, find Sicamous and stay drunk forever.

Weird, I was going to say that the anti-Benning gang are becoming more like Trump supporters every day - Fake news specialists and liars.

Probably both are true cause it says more about Trump/Benning love hate polarity than anything.

And of course, all of us true Canadians are stuck in the middle weighing both the positive and negative sides honestly - RIGHT????? :D
Tru dat. The whiny post count is higher than actual Trump tweets.

Keep ignoring actual facts about empty cupboards, owner's desire to fill seats with real NHL players to justify ticket prices, etc.

NO. Here's yet another post complaining about something.

Can't even enjoy the summer with the new draft picks at development camp. Can't even wait until they watch some of them at the Summer Showdown or the Young Stars prospects games. Or maybe even how the pre-season shapes up.

Nope. Let's leave another turd on top of the already steaming pile in the (Canucks) corner.

No wonder people continue trolling them with the whole "genius" thing. Oh, the angst.
Is this serious? I literally said in the sentence immediately after the Trump statement that the drafting has been good to very good, the trades so so, and the FA signings terrible. If that’s a ‘pile of turd’ in the corner then you either pick and choose statements to make your argument or just plain can’t read. I don’t know how many times I’ve said we have to take a wait and see attitude and see what the lineup looks like before judging the full off-season.

Guess people just see what they want to - hilarious that this would be considered whining.

I like to think I can be at least somewhat objective on this. I know I really can’t, neither can any fan of a team because their fandom clouds the way they look at their team, but I do try.

I read tons of content on the Canucks from all media sources, not just pro or anti management ones. I disagree with guys like Botch who love to criticize, I disagree with guys like IMac who loves to suck up to management. I like much of what they are doing but there’s a lot that is really hard to figure out what the strategy is. It’s getting better though, so hopefully that continues. So yes, I probably am a true Canadian and somewhere in the middle. :D

What’s an extra 2-3 seasons watching crappy hockey between friends right? Been 4 of the last 5 seasons that were awful hockey to watch (and yes I’ve watched at least 90% of the games, maybe more) so hopefully it gets better soon. Perhaps Pettersson will be that good this year and really hoping Hughes makes the team because his skill set is badly needed.

Me thinks that there are a number of people who post here that recognize the cultish nature of a number of the posters, and choose to just ignore it (their spew). There's no point in trying to enlighten them - its kind if like dealing with Trump voters - they're dug in, and refuse to embrace information that runs counter to how they choose to see the world. So there's something to be said for practicing acceptance about the presence of the infallible JB club and let it go. I must say though, Blob sure has been persevering in putting up a good fight!
(I didn't realize that Diehard said essentially said the same thing re: comparison if trump supporters and benning zealots)

LOL, Blob. You've bombarded and continue to bombard this place with constant "questioning" whining... in almost every post.

Then a bunch of sheep chime in. And you're accusing of cultish behaviour? Yeah, Trump supporters accusing others of supporting Trump

See Diehard? I think you are a reasonable poster. But your assertion of fans who have faith in what the team is doing (not necessarily pro-Benning) being like Trump supporters is silly. Shots like that back and forth then get completely out of hand.

What you just wrote, this is exactly what we're all thinking and hoping. We are where we are, it is what it is. We have a bright future... it just might require some extra patience to get there. I'd like to enjoy engaging in this here forum without seeing every other post about the usual. It's fucking tiresome, man.

Let's just see what happens when the season starts.
Try to focus on 1 year from now...

Hey, fun boys, get a room!

Lol Blob has called "Elmer" retarded (or words to that effect) hundreds of times.

Not surprising you two... and one other... consider him to be balanced.

(it's because you are almost as perverted as he is)

I and others may be overly optimistic fanatics, but the four of you are the biggest whiners in CC history!

Wake up and smell your own poop!
