I think the little subhuman tried to trip Witkowski while Wit was being escorted to the room.

So the punk physically engaged a tossed player who had left the ice surface

... that could have been the thing that made the refs decide to toss Tkachoo

(called it a "spear" just because?)

Notice son of Keith The Chunk immediately hides behind the ref after the chicken-ass trip attempt.

A few seconds later he seems to jam his stick into the crowd of players.

(hard to see, that could have been the spear)

Then he throws a gloved punch at Howard who is being held by the right arm.

And when he's certain Wit can't get to him, he throws a punch from behind Ericsson.

(Ericsson had his back to Tkapuke as he was steering Wit to the tunnel)

It's a shame these two teams don't face each other til next season.

Perhaps Jimmy should trade for Witkowski.
