Maybe because he just turned 21 in January. I think it's safe to assume his minutes climb as he gains experience.
If the player we draft at 7 is leading our D in scoring at 21, as Hanifin did, we'll be quite pleased indeed. Which is why I would do the 7th overall for him, but nothing more (and I assume they'll want more). I'm perfectly happy to use the pick.
If the guy we draft at 7 this year is leading us in scoring in 3 years, we will be in REAL trouble for decades more to come.
