Now I feel like watching Infinity War.
I demand Jim Benning trade for Nick Ritchie, dudes a beast, put him with Horvat and Boeser.

Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Haven't a clue. Just happened upon it.
If there's anything to it, what would the Canes want?

Tanev and our 1st gets it done but is he just a younger version of DelZotto? Or is there untapped upside?micky107 wrote: ↑Sat May 26, 2018 8:37 am http://dailyhive.com/vancouver/canucks- ... umour-2018

At 21 you would need to be an elite super scout genius to know that answer

Canes have a ton of young talent, probably more than they want to sign once their ELCs are up.
These are some "so-so" detailed stats on the guy. This is what sticks out to me.
Offensive talent.
Really bad plus minus. (but we are talking Carolina).
Bang! Right into the NHL, AND, almost perfect attendance.

If a team gives up on a player like Hanafin you have to question why.
Makes me suspicious that the team that drafted him doesn’t want him.
They have the closest look at him and may have identified issues that other teams are not aware of.
I would not trade full value for him, but Tanev plus something small would be okay.
I wouldn’t give up the number seven pick for him just because we are unsure of the whole story.

The Isles are in a shit temp arena and Arizona is well, Gendale (up in the hills),
So money probably has to do with it, meaning they don't want to pay what he will want, so:
IMO, it would be are #1 pick they are after.
Another good player and a new ELC.
inconsequential pieces, I suppose could be involved.
Just guessing.

.
Okay dudes (and dudette) here's the plan...
We have tons of cap-space for the next couple of years.
Sign UFAs Mike Green (2 years, $7M AAV) and Filppula (2 years, $4.5 AAV).
(older UFAs will sign short-term contracts)
NEXT SEASON:
Baer/Goldie – Horvat – Boeser
Dahlen – Filppula – Pettersson
Eriksson – Sutter – Virtanen
Lipstick – Gaudette - Gaunce
Granlund
Baer/Goldie – trade one… Gagner – trade
Edler – Green
Juolevi – Tanev
MDZ – Gudbranson
Pouliot – Stecher
Hutton – traded… Biega – Comets (if he clears)
Markstrom
Demko
Nilsson – Comets/traded
ANY QUESTIONS

So which one is your solution to losing the tough assholeness Eastvander was going to bring to the top six, Fippula or Goldobin?Strangelove wrote: ↑Sat May 26, 2018 1:01 pm .

Secondly, is Green really your solution? Why?
When are you going to admit Ryan Reaves has been the most brilliant idea on these boards for months, and the only UFA the Canucks should chase, short of a miraculous gift falling in their laps?
Who will give anything of value for the players you are selling when they are at their lowest value?
And why bother?
Why won’t you let me play Pettersson at centre right off the bat?
We are all Snidely Whiplash.

Neither.Cherry Picker wrote: ↑Sat May 26, 2018 2:03 pm So which one is your solution to losing the tough assholeness Eastvander was going to bring to the top six, Fippula or Goldobin?
Is this a trick question?
You don't think Mr Green would improve our defensive group tremendously?
(not to mention our young goal-scoring forwards?)
A first-pairing puck-moving right-hand-shot power-play-quarterback?
When are you going to admit you're in love with Ryan Reaves?Cherry Picker wrote: ↑Sat May 26, 2018 2:03 pm When are you going to admit Ryan Reaves has been the most brilliant idea on these boards for months, and the only UFA the Canucks should chase, short of a miraculous gift falling in their laps?
But okay, I'd be fine with also adding Reaves.
(then trade Loui and move Lipstick up to the 3rd line)
(as I've shown, Loui is very trade-able after July 1st - if they can convince him to waive)
(and as HW said, there's a rumour going around Canucks might do just that)
We don't necessarily need/want anything of value for those guys... time to cut bait!Cherry Picker wrote: ↑Sat May 26, 2018 2:03 pm Who will give anything of value for the players you are selling when they are at their lowest value?
(although I could see Baer/Goldie bringing back a 2nd/3rd)
Because it's time to start winning more games.
Because I don't like you.Cherry Picker wrote: ↑Sat May 26, 2018 2:03 pm Why won’t you let me play Pettersson at centre right off the bat?
But seriously, Filppula is the perfect placeholder/mentor and he also plays wing.
(Pettersson can switch off with him more and more as he learns/develops)
Baer/Goldie – Horvat – Boeser
Dahlen – Filppula – Pettersson
Lipstick – Sutter – Virtanen
Gaunce – Gaudette - Reaves
Granlund
Happy?
