The first of many more deals for Genius Jim.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Must be a mass suicide in progress over the Canucks HFBoards, lol. Love it! Go JimBro Go!!!!

The two clowns on 1040 Halford and Brun (spelling) are pissed off about JimBro's signing. Bitchford pretty much guaranteed JimBro won't resigned. He must be steaming!!!

I really don't understand how anyone could have thought he wouldn't be re-signed. Ya he's made some mistakes but our prospect pool is pretty damn good with more to come. It is what the naysayers wanted no, a rebuild? Now it's still a work in progress but I think we will be turning a corner, a long winding one, over the next two seasons.

In 1-2 years Trymakin will be back. In 1-2 years Juolevi will show us why he was drafted so high. Our defence will solidify.

Goaltending will be a strength.

Up front, well we will be pretty fast, skilled and exciting, some jam thrown in to boot.

If not, it's only a three year extension
The only HW the Canucks need

Just listened to the presser. Bitchford is the new Gallagher and you can tell that Linden hates him. What's the deal with with Bitchford? Earlier he said JimBro has been here 5 years when at this seasons end it will be 4 seasons under Jimbro. Is he counting Gillis last season prior to the Virtanen draft as a Benning season?

Was Ronning's Ghost floating around the press conference?

"Yeah, so um, Trevor & Jim, when are you gonna be good exactly? 1 year? 2 years?"

"Sorry RG, we can't really say when. But we'll see what happens next year. We might have 6 or 7 guys signed and they'll be here if they're ready like Stetcher or Brock. If not, they'll develop in the AHL. But we like our prospects, we think we have some of the best in the league and we're excited. We hope it's sooner rather than later, but we'll see."

"Just tell me when, DAMNIT!"

(Just kidding RG!)
Try to focus on 1 year from now...

Doc, 1040 and 650 is pissed off that Lindenning didn't give a timeline. Why are the detractors so obsessed with a time line? You've gone through this with your detractors. It's an interesting socialogy. Baffling to say the least

As for timeline, the haters just want to be controlling so if the team isn't winning Cups by then, they can fuel their rage and diatribe further.

But really, as we've seen the past two/three season's injuries to half your team can fuck up your season real quick and the Canucks have been in the top 5 if not #1 overall in man games lost.

On top of that nobody knows how long it'll take for the young guns to develop into NHL pro's, not everyone can develop asap like Boeser first year.

Botchford just hates being wrong like he is a lot of the time.....probably wishes he can "block" them like on twitter ha.
A long time ago, a baseball player remarked: "If I owned a ballclub, I'd hire a $5,000 coach and a $15,000 scout."

Say you've injured your knee, and it doesn't work very well. It might get better with conservative therapy, but it might need surgery. Surgery has its downsides, so you try conservative therapy first (plus the surgeons insist on that).

So you diligently do your physiotherapy, and look for signs of improvement. You're very interested in the timeline of your improvement, because you need to determine whether this course is going to work, or whether you will need surgery. (If you need surgery, it's better to get on the list sooner.) It takes patience, recovery trajectories vary, but sooner or later, you have to say "OK, we've tried this long enough, and we are not happy with the performance, its time to try another treatment modality." (Or yes, maybe "Wow, my knee works great ! Brilliant job, medical team !")

A reasonable question for your surgeon and physiotherapist is, how long is long enough ?

If you want to assert that 4 years is not long enough to assess the work of an NHL GM, I'm sure a reasonable case can be made for that. But it is still fair to ask how much time is enough.
